Denpasar, Bali. This ecolodge (13 double rooms) is set high up in the Jimbaran hills with a beautiful view over Bali in a conservation area for birds and butterflies. Only ten minutes from the airport it is quiet and peaceful, yet just 15 minutes from shopping in Nusa Dua or Kuta.
Jimbaran beach and fish restaurants are only five minutes away. Uluwatu and other famous surf spots are nearby. The Lodge is the home of The Udayana Cricket Club (the only Indonesian CC) giving guests or teams access to games, nets and an oval (the same size as the Adelaide oval) in the Lodge complex.

how this holiday makes a difference
 This is the only small hotel to be eco certified by Green Globe 21 in Indonesia. We have developed environmentally friendly buildings with the use of solar power for hot water, pumps and some lighting, an extensive rain water storage system, and the use of a biological sewage treatment plant where all waste water is returned to the gardens through irrigation. One of the end results is the beautiful gardens (for example we have 22 types of bougainvillea in the gardens). The university has also granted us a protected area where an attempt is made to protect all birds, butterflies, wildlife and plants. There is a large and diverse number of birds recorded in the grounds of The Lodge. The lodge is considered an "eco hotel" because it fulfils the six main components of eco tourism, namely:
