introduction to Goa luxury camping accommodation

Located on a beach where the only other footprints to be seen are those of fishermen and turtles lies our tents. Just four, very comfortable tents, all in the most idyllic setting.

All four tents face the river, which runs parallel to the beach where tranquillity, peace and purity prevail. Each tent sleeps 2 in a double four-poster bed and has a private en-suite bathroom with running water and a hot shower. Each tent also has its own sit-out and a bamboo jetty, over the river. One extra child‚ below 10 years old will be permitted per tent, provided the child shares the bed with the parents. Baby cribs can be provided at an additional cost. There is a fully equipped kitchen and the cook will prepare all your meals on request.

Access to the tents is via a bamboo footbridge across the creek that separates the tents from the rest of the world. There can be no more beautiful a location. Tranquillity, peace and purity prevails in and around the tents.

This property is usually available for rent for a minimum period of one week but we may be flexible depending on bookings.

For larger groups, or as an alternative, see our Beach Houses here

how to find us

The tents are located on a beach called Asvem which is between the Morjem and Mandrem Beach in North Goa. They are about 20 mins. drive from the main busy "tourist belt" of Goa (Calangute & Baga), where there is lots of shopping, restaurants.

We are also about 20 mins. from the "Mapuca Market" which is the main market in Goa which caters to the needs of the locals and has lots of very interesting traditional things to see & buy. We are about 45 mins drive from Old Goa (old Portuguese Churches etc.) & a little over an hours drive from the airport. We offer an airport taxi transfer which costs about £11.
how this holiday makes a difference
We have consciously made an effort to employ only local members of the community. All our staff are locals. They are from the surrounding villages and are trained by us. All provisions are bought from the local residents. The cars and drivers we use are also from the surrounding villages. This property is unique and host to marine turtles, otters that breed in the bank of the creek, monitor lizards, tortoises, wild hair, and a resident pair of the rare and magnificent White Bellied Sea Eagle with a seven-foot wingspan.

The very purpose of our existence is to keep this piece of land the way God made it and protect everything on it. We will protect it from mass tourism and encourage like-minded people on the property We are committed to educating the local community about things of historical significance which will only appreciate with the passing of time.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
