"These idyllic beach chalets on Tioman Island provide the perfect escape for relaxation and exploration. I love the idea of spending the day discovering the jungle or snorkeling in the clear blue sea and then the evening enjoying a tropical cocktail on the white sand beach."

Malaysia beach resort, Tioman Island.
Our Malaysia beach resort is nestled between majestic mountains, tropical jungle and the turquoise waters of Tioman Island. Easily accessible from Malaysia & Singapore, we offer guests enjoyment of an unspoiled paradise at our Malaysia beach resort. The lush jungle and clear waters of Tioman Island provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities - trekking, snorkelling, kayaking and diving are just a few on offer. Or pick up a book from the library and try out our hammocks on the long secluded beach.
Walking along our long wooden jetty provides a fascinating insight into the coral fish and turtles, and snorkellers or divers are rewarded with views of the living tropical reefs of Tioman Island. Our Malaysia beach resort is ideal for kids who love paddling in the shallow waters, building sand castles on the beach and spotting Tioman Island's exotic wildlife. On land, daily sights include kingfishers, eagles, bats and monkeys.
The Malaysia beach resort has just five spacious chalets, each of which has floor to ceiling windows for spectacular sea views and a private veranda. The furnishings are stylish, comfortable and modern, reflecting the diverse cultures of Asia. Each chalet is equipped with remote control fans and a mini fridge for that always cool feeling.
Our Malaysia beach resort holidays are fully inclusive and prices are great value for the high standard of resort accommodation and service. All meals, tea/coffee, soft drinks with meals, transfers and one local excursion are included. The restaurant serves delicious home-cooked Asian and Western food and there is a well-stocked bar where guests can enjoy a sunset cocktail!

Malaysia beach resort availability

What we enjoyed most was the peace and quiet, it was a truly idyllic place to spend a honeymoon, made even better (if that’s possible) by the staff, who couldn't do enough for us and became friends. (more)
rooms, food and facilities
Honeymooners: We have a lot of couples coming to Malaysia on holiday, for romance, honeymoon, or just to get away. We have three beach chalets at the resort designed exclusively for couples – Rock House, Tree House and Boat House – each with fantastic views, privacy and beach-front settings. Even if these are not available, the two larger chalets with hill side sea views are available to couples at no extra cost.
Family friendly: Children under 12 years old pay half price at the resort. There are two family sized chalets which can accommodate up to five in comfort with two double bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge. Each chalet has a spacious granite tiled bathroom with hot water showers and taps. We have many families coming from Singapore over and over again, three or four times in one year! Kids love to play on our long beach or in the shallow waters at high tide and have wonderful new experiences with the varied animals of Tioman Island.
Baby friendly: We have had many guests at the resort with babies and have a cot and high chair available at no extra cost. Infants under 2 stay free of charge
activities at Malaysia beach resort, Tioman Island
Dive accommodation: There is a dive school next door to the resort run by PADI qualified instructors offering a range of PADI courses from 'discovery dive' to 'dive master training'. Dive sites are local, and this generally means exclusive to us as most other divers go to the north west of Tioman Island! There are two fantastic islands with several dive sites, as well as local shore diving and wreck diving. Prices are competitive, approx. £15 per dive, depending on how many are booked together. Dives can be booked on arrival at the beach resort.

how this holiday makes a difference
|
Beach resort ecological design - The beach resort is designed to harmoniously blend with the natural surroundings of jungle, mountains and sea on Tioman Island. Each resort building is connected to a natural feature, be it a giant rock, or magnificent tree. The buildings themselves are entirely made of natural materials, with hand woven roofs and floor to ceiling softwood windows. Recycled materials are used where possible, for example the 100ft jetty is made entirely of recycled wood. Beach resort environmental appreciation – All guests are encouraged to enjoy nature as it is, in its wild and magical form, rather than in a sanitised setting of zoo or park. Wildlife is abundant at the beach resort and we endeavour to point out the inherent diversity on walks and snorkelling safaris. Our library is well stocked with books on Tioman Island's local flora and fauna for after-activity research. Beach resort waste reduction – All waste is recycled or disposed of responsibly at the beach resort. Where possible we endeavour to purchase products with minimal packaging. Plastics are avoided and resort guests are encouraged to drink mountain spring water rather than mineral water, thus reducing plastic bottle waste on Tioman Island. Beach resort minimal footprint – Our beach resort is small for a very good reason. This way we can offer individual service to each and every guest, and also ensure that we are not overburdening Malaysia's natural environment with human presence. Tioman Island local culture - We regularly shop locally, and make the most of the natural abundance of fish and fruit on Tioman Island for serving in our own restaurant. We endeavour to reflect the diverse cultures of Malaysia in our meals as well as in our choice of furniture/decoration. Local customs are respected and we ask our resort guests to share in this.Tioman Island local connections - Our staff are mostly locally recruited from Tioman Island, all with knowledge of local flora, fauna and myths! We take people on visits through local villages, where we make an effort to introduce our guests to villagers and their way of life. At another level, we offer our advice with a sustainable development slant to Tioman island as a whole and support local events with time and donations. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
