Accommodation is provided in two traditional farmhouses, known as Doderi and Brentina, which have been renovated respecting their original structures and adopting our well-loved policy of retrieval and reuse of original materials. The new interventions were carried out placing great attention on the criteria of bio-compatibility.

The features of the apartments and their furniture were chosen in order to offer the feel and comfort of a private house and not just a hotel. Each individual object was chosen with care, as were the colours and lights. The apartments are deliberately without TV or air-conditioning; instead, books and stereos are provided.

The outsides of the farmhouses were restored so as to blend in to the surrounding countryside as harmoniously as possible; facilities have also been provided so that quiet moments outdoors may be enjoyed. We now also have a shop which sells our organic products (beef meat, honey, olive oil and white truffles) and a selection of organic and biodynamic products from the neighbourhood.

Le Trosce. An independent farmhouse, located on the top of a hill with a panoramic view, it can comfortably house eight people. It's not easy to say if it's more or less beautiful than the others but it sure is a wonderful house built on a unique location. It was constructed in the middle of the 19th century with the bricks that the property produced and with all the magic of these valleys. The structure, only one floor but with different levels, is situated on the top of the hill and has a view in all directions over the land, the lake, the grazing cows, the wheat and the barley.A beautiful place to free yourself from your thoughts or to think new thoughts. Heating is excluded.

Doderi. Doderi is a typically Tuscan "casa colonica" (traditional farmhouse), located on the top of a hillock and surrounded by olive groves. It is situated at the meeting point between the cultivated area and the oak woods; at 20 minutes' walk from the lake, it is the point of departure of numerous pathways. The vegetable gardens, orchard and hen-house, run by Imperio, offer organic products on a daily basis.

Brentina. Brentina is a "casa colonica" (traditional farmhouse) with an articulated structure, which overlooks the wood of the same name from the top of a ridge. On both slopes of the ridge there are numerous pathways which lead into the woods. Heating is excluded.

All apartments are very comfortable and the kitchens are well equipped. Outside you will have a private area to have a meal or just read and relax. Every house has its own swimming pool.

Family friendly: We welcome families and have many families here. Nature and children always have a good relationship. We provide all the support and information that you need. We live in the estate as well and are always about to help.

Disabled access: We have an apartment with disabled access.

Organic shop: From 2009 the farm has a small organic and biodynamic shop with the farm products (olive oil, honey, meat, jam and white truffle) and a selection of products from the farms in the neighborhood. Outdoor activities: The 500 hectares of the estate offer ample possibilities for visitors to explore and enjoy the unique features of this countryside: 20 km of signposted paths invite you to take long excursions whether walking or on mountain bike, through cultivated fields, pastures populated by "chianine" cows and enchanting woods.

The estate's lake is the ideal place to observe numerous species of birds or to practice fly fishing or spinning while attempting to catch black bass. Like the numerous pools that have been created in order to allow drinking water for the livestock, the lake is a beautiful setting at which to relax, read and pass hours of tranquillity.

Searching for truffles: We are located in the centre of an area famous for its San Miniato white truffles, this is one of the few areas in the world where this rare and precious tuber is found. Inside an exclusive reserve you can share the experience of searching for truffles in the company of experienced truffle finders.

From October to December (booking required), small groups – maximum six people – will meet in the early morning and set off into the woods to observe the activities of specially-trained dogs, whose ultra-developed sense of smell locates the truffles. The search lasts about three hours.

Outdoor facilities: Outside the farm, two golf courses, offer the possibility to practice your game or to take up the sport for the first time. The San Miniato golf course has nine holes, while the Castelfalfi course has eighteen. Both are just 15 minutes away by car. Less than three kilometres from the entrance to Barbialla Nuova, in the Le Mura area, there are, two well-equipped stables where it is possible to go horse-riding. The region is also famous for its thermal baths. The choice of centres and treatments will amaze you and you can have fun deciding which is your favourite. All are within a few minutes drive from the estate.

Other activities: The farm is in the heart of Tuscany, close to the most important centres of art and tradition. If you wish to spend a day in Siena, Pisa or Florence, not to mention the closer towns of Volterra and San Gimignano, we will be happy to provide you with all the necessary information on routes, exhibitions, local festivals and gastronomic/wine-tasting initiatives that are planned over the course of the entire year. We can also suggest itineraries that are most suited to your particular tastes and requirements. Naturally, in Autumn considerable attention is paid to the series of events linked to San Miniato. Price details: Price depends on date of travel and includes linen, towels, heating, light, water and all taxes. Extra bed available at €15 per person per night, baby cot €15 for whole stay, baby linen not provided. High season: 1 week minimum, medium season minimum 3 nights. We will keep credit card details as guarantee for any problems or damages. Price excludes final cleaning, vat 10%, heating in Le Trosce and Bretina Ovile. Only the apartment Brentina Ovile in Brentina house has gas heating charged by consumption.
