Once the summer retreat of the Bishop of Hereford, the stunning location of this Herefordshire self catering accommodation provides a peaceful and natural setting in which to relax and re-charge with 12 acres of organic garden, copse and trails. Approached via a half-mile drive, the property is surrounded by a 350 acre woodland with marked footpaths and home to buzzards, deer and badgers. 

Ideal for couples, friends and families, the Herefordshire self catering accommodation is available for short breaks as well as week-long stays.

Owners, Ritsuko and Ron have restored the old coach house and stables and provide well appointed 4 star self-catering accommodation with comfy beds and views over the organic kitchen garden. Ritsuko & Ron offer delicious home-cooked vegetarian or vegan meals as an occasional treat for guests at the Herefordshire self catering accommodation. Japanese cuisine is their speciality, described as "a memorable feast that would give Nobu a run for their money" by the Observer newspaper!

Helping you to settle in for your stay, you'll find fresh flowers from our garden, lovely spring drinking water on tap, a chilled bottle of fair trade wine and organic fresh coffee and teas. You are welcome to pick fresh herbs from the organic garden when you feel the urge to cook and you'll find some vegetarian cook books in your kitchen too.Activities include woodland walks and tennis (we have a tennis court in the garden) for the more active, or why not simply come to put your feet up with a good book and a bottle of local organic cider or apply juice! 

Please note: The grounds are quite slopey and hilly in parts and may not be suitable for people with walking or mobility difficulties. Small children will need adult supervision, of course.

During your stay at our Herefordshire self catering accommodation if you fancy getting out we can advise you on a host of places to explore, not to mention local farmers' markets, fairs, events, festivals and shows.  Locally you could visit Hereford (Cathedral and famous Mappa Mundi), Leominster (Priory & locally owned shops, lovely to wander around), or the black and white village of Weobley with good pub food & an organic dairy. Further afield (within an hour's drive) options include Ludlow (antiques & Michelin Star restaurants), Hay on Wye (bookshops galore) or the Malvern Hills (quality theatre and hill walking).

Cycling: We cater for cyclist couples or small groups, with good access to sites of interest (including National Trust properties, gardens, black & white village trails and scrummy tea rooms) via country lanes and quiet routes ideal for the cycling fraternity. Undercover and secure storage for bikes together with comfy beds and lovely accommodation in a secluded woodland setting-ideal for relaxation after a day out.

Apartment 1: Spacious living/dining room with 'living Flame' cast iron fire, en-suite double bedroom with king-size comfy bed, fully fitted kitchen, sofa bed (ideal for a couple with child), TV, DVD, CD player.
Apartment 2: Spacious living/dining area with woodburner, ensuite double bedroom with king-size comfy bed, fully fitted kitchen, TV, DVD, CD player.
Apartment 3: Cast iron traditional spiral staircase leading to spacious sitting room, fully fitted kitchen, large bedroom with double and single brass beds with lovely views, separate bathroom.

Family and baby friendly: We welcome families with children and babies. There are nature trails and our 'bunny & badger' copse to explore, sheep to feed, and Oscar the cat or Cocoa the dog to play with. We offer child-friendly vegetarian meals and cots, high chairs, baby monitor and baby sitting can all be arranged. By train: We are about 5 miles from Hereford where there is a mainline station. Pick up can be arranged.

By car:If you have your own car, from Hereford take the A4110 and Canon Pyon Rd. From  the North take the M5 to Worcester, then A4103 to Hereford. From the South take the M5 to Gloucester, then A40 to Ross on Wye and A49 to Hereford. From the East take the M40 / A40 to Ross on Wye, then A49 to Hereford. From the West take the M4 to Newport, A449 to Monmouth, A40 to Ross and A49 to Hereford.

By air: The nearest airports are Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham and pick-up can be arranged.
