The rooms in both units are spacious and airy and have been tastefully decorated. They have gas central heating and double glazing so are warm and cosy in the early spring, autumn and winter.

rooms, food and facilities
The cottages are equipped with all facilities our guests need.
Guests have the use of a washing machine, iron and ironing board which are kept in a separate, central unit. An additional toilet is also located in this unit. Outside there is garden furniture and a safe area for children to play. A gas barbeque is available for guests by prior arrangement.

Family Friendly:
This is an ideal place for children as it is safe and traffic free. They love the open spaces and the opportunity to make friends with all the animals especially the ponies, guinea pigs and rabbits. There is also a new adventure playground in the village, just 15 minutes walk away.

how this holiday makes a difference
Staying with us has a direct benefit on our area and its population. Local farmers, families running small restaurants, independent crafters and artists and young, talented people increase their job opportunities thanks to our guests.

Places otherwise known only to local insiders become popular and this benefits all the people living there. All this is managed with the utmost care to safeguard the local environment.

Environmental Benefits: our environmentally conscious approach applies to everything. To start with we only purchase organic food from growers and people in order to support sustainable practices. Food leftovers are used to feed our chickens and rabbits. We compost all our organic wastes to produce humus and manure which we re-use. Waste water is re-used as much as possible and subsequently dissipated in the ground according to environment-friendly techniques that contribute to the preservation of precious drinking water.

Economic Benefits: we strive to increase local employment opportunities by:
• Employing local people to help on the farm, as well as for the tourism business.
• Encouraging the spread of sustainable tourism throughout the region. This includes supporting existing organizations, mainly co-operatives of young, talented people.
• Doing shopping in the local shops – together food as well as the tools and the spare for the farm. We promote products from the goat farm and dairy that are in Bukowiec village.
• Encouraging young local people to take up their abandoned plots of land in order make a living from agriculture. This also revitalises local villages, preventing them from decay.
• Arousing new interest about old and new crafts which use local raw materials and ancient techniques. The aim is to provide a large number of new jobs to the young people who are presently forced to find work elsewhere.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
