introduction to Provence holiday accommodation
In this area of France we can enjoy the sea and the sun in summer… and the snow in winter, so it would be a shame not to share this with you too!
A 3 day / 3 night package in the south of France in our home with a maximum of 6 people will guarantee a convivial and friendly atmosphere.
This package will give you the rare opportunity to live with local people and meet their friends in rural France, taste the regional products, admire the beautiful landscape, get off the beaten track and experience the French culture from the inside. We have many other possibilities to offer to you apart from the sojourn: just pick up what ever you like, for the time you like and we will take care of the rest. Here is a sample of what you could find in St Jeannet:
In summer time, we will be happy to arrange some rafting, kayaking or canoeing activities. Transportation, food for the day and choosing the best itinerary depending on the period of the year is the least we can do for you (water activities are always led by a certificated guide with a Brevet d’Etat for water sport).
You want to combine your nature and culinary experience to a more cultural experience? What about taking a walk around St Jeannet and discover all the hidden treasures left by history, before checking out how local people produce their own olive oil, cheese and wine? Sampling and tasting is of course a part of the cultural experience…
Winter in the south of France, particularly in Saint Jeannet, is a spectacular season to experience. The change in seasons in this region is visually arresting and stunningly beautiful – and experience not to be missed.
This is why we propose a special “winter day” during the winter season (November to March depending on the quantity of snow). This extra day allows us to go to the national park of the Mercantour, only two hours away from St Jeannet, for a snow-shoes hiking day. We could then spend the night in a traditional refuge, held by Jordi, a good friend, who will prepare for us a traditional meal from the Savoie area: raclette, fondue or tartiflette!A 3 day /3 night package in the south of France in our home with a maximum of 6 people to guarantee a convivial and friendly atmosphere. This package will give you the rare opportunity to live with local people and meet their friends in rural France, taste the regional products, admire the beautiful landscape, get off the beaten track and experience the French culture from the inside. The first day will be devoted to exploring the gastronomical delights of French cuisine. On the 2nd day we will go on a walking tour to discover the charming village of St Jeannet. And for the slightly more adventurous there is an opportunity to hike up the "Baous" where the best views are to be had over all the French Riviera. Hiking tours can be taylored to various fitness abilities. On the 3rd day we will discover the outlying villages typical of the area off the tourist track. Sampling the local red wine at St Jeannet's vineyard, the last one in the all area led by the same family for the last four generations will be the outstanding experience for the day.
*Special offer*
A free bottle of red wine from the local vineyard of St Jeannet for
each booking made via Responsibletravel.com
This wine has been processed through a very particular way and has been produced by the same family for the last four generations. We’ll be more than happy to let you know about the history of St Jeannet’s wine and take you to the vineyard itself for a short visit and wine sampling according to your schedule.
We hope to see you soon

The best action we can take to respect our environment is to let people know how to behave while walking in the country side or in the mountains, such as keeping our trash with us, not taking flowers, respect wildlife habitats etc. As a certificated walking guide and a professional mountaineer, this is my duty.
Also, during the transformation of the place, we equipped the showers and toilets flush with sustainable system to use less water. We signed a contract with the electricity provider company (EDF) to use environmental friendly energy such as solar and wind systems. Also, we make sure to recycle our wastes by taking them to the specific bins (glass, card box, plastic, organic wastes), even if the French system doesn’t make it that easy yet. This could seem nothing but for the size of our structure, it is maybe the best we can do. Lastly, in all the activities we want to provide to our guests, there won’t be any that could have a damageable impact on environment. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
