introduction to Pathum Thani accommodation, Central Thailand

Panthum Thani accommodation, Central Thailand

We have created a place for our guests to rest and relax amongst peaceful surroundings, a tranquil haven to recharge your batteries and nuture your creativity. We offer comfortable accommodation in authentic Thai-style teak wood houses with beautiful surrounding gardens on a 5 acre property just North of Bangkok. We are in the heart of a fruit farming community with local markets and temples within a 5km radius. There are no factories or tall buildings nearby, and as the night draws in we are mesmerised by the stars and the reflection of the moon on our large pond.
special things to do and see here
The lake at Pathum Thani accommodation, Central ThailandOur houses are surrounded by a picturesque lake and garden where guests enjoy swimming, fishing and rowing in our Thai-style boat. Our lawns are covered with "Australian golf course grass" and guests can play badminton, volleyball and mini-golf etc. With prior notice we can arrange craft activities (e.g. flower-making from glay & gold leaf), Thai-style massage, meditation and cooking classes.

Local tours: We are delighted to show our foreign guests the practices of our local community, and we can tailor cultural experience trips to you wishes. We aim to teach our guests the local language and customs, and encourage them to participate in the lifestyle and activities of our fruit orchard community. There is plenty to enjoy within a 10km radius:
  • Orchid farm, pesticide-free fruit orchards e.g. guava, dragon fruit (largest farm in Thailand), oranges etc.
  • Nong Suea District has been selected as a “model” OTOP (One Tambon -village/sub-district- One Product) community. This is a Government sponsored community project with a focus on achieving excellent quality products. Award winning products in Nong Suea District include silver plated tableware, Kanom Chamod Nga Dum (an ancient nutritious Thai snack), artificial flowers and mushroom fish balls
  • Pewter engraving handicrafts facility, many temples and local markets
Sightseeing trips and golf outings are available with advance request. Further afield there are science and art museums, garden centres and all the big town amenities. Bangkok, the old capital Ayudhya (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Kaho Yai National Park are approximately 1 hour away by car.

Balcony at Pathum Thani accommodation, Central ThailandOur guests are encouraged to visit the local community allowing them to support local businesses if they wish and our website has a link to www.thaifocus.com that has useful travel information etc.

We are working together with the owners of local attractions to promote “local lifestyle experience” tours which we believe will benefit both the local community and guests alike. There is a plan by a local school administrator to train children to become young tour guides.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
