Enjoy the culture and the history which makes Bodrum one of the unique Mediterranean destinations.
Visit Dalyan; stroll through the river among the ruins of Caunos, cleanse your skin at the mud-baths and visit the Caretta - Caretta Turtle beach.
As a place where people have lived continuously for thousands of years, Bodrum has an incredibly rich past. Its position in or near so many of the great civilizations and events of ancient history makes Bodrum (Halicarnassus) an important site for historians.
Our tour will take you to explore one of the oldest antique theaters in Anatolia and visit the Castle of St.Peter, one of the world's best preserved monuments from medieval times. You will marvel at the beauty of underwater archaeology exhibits, Alexander The Great’s Tomb - (one of the seven wonders of the world) and the ancient Myndos gate. We will take you explore the nearby town of Dalyan and visit the magnifient ruins of Caunos, the famous Caretta-Caretta turtle beach and skin-cleansing mud baths. You will enjoy some bird watching too.
We will pay a visit to Bafa Lake, Herakleia Ancient City and Kapikiri Village, which seems to be a relic of the past, still living in the past in a subtle, quiet way. Bafa Lake, which is famous for bird-watching, will amaze you with its natural beauty. A boat trip to bays within Bodrum and your stay at Paradise Bay will welcome you to an early sun and beach holiday.

It is rare for local operators to be able to help with the booking of your flights.how this holiday makes a difference
|
Throughout our trip, we work with locals, visit local villages and bazaars as well as historical sites. Visiting local villages and bazaars not only contributes to the local economy but also helps the local community to open up and make themselves known to the rest of the world. The visit to Comakdag Village is special in that sense; our visit to this local village aims to contribute to the villagers’ efforts to introduce their village to the rest of the world.
We travel in small groups in order to be able to see and do things which are not practical with large numbers. Travelling in small groups contributes to small community economies. Our accommodation has been operating with a responsible travel policy. This makes sure that the tour promotes responsible travelling not only by means of making a contribution to the local community but also through its choice of accommodation. We planted lots of plants and trees in out property to be in harmony with the nature. Today, after more than 10 years, most of our property is not recognizable as it is all covered with plants. On our excursions, we also introduce the fauna of our environs, and also teach our guests how to cook with the local herbs and vegetables (culinary). All of our excursions are combined with culture tours, introducing the history and the local specialties of each village in the Bodrum Peninsula. On our walking tours, the specialities of habitat is explained. We don’t leave any garbage behind us, we always leave the places like untouched. We make garbage composting in our property. We separate organic stuff and bury it in the ground to have a richer earth. We put brochures in our rooms about how to reduce the damage we do to our environment. We use electric energy savers as our key holders of the rooms. On our excursions, we also hire local people as guides, who know the area well. They introduce the environment and their local customs, which makes our guests examine these places with a different perspective. We believe that different cultures and customs make our world a richer place. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
