  • how this holiday makes a difference
Bay, Malta holiday accommodationWe have a waste water treatment whereby we recycle waste and obtain water which is suitable for watering of plants. We save energy at our Malta holiday accommodation by having external lights controlled by light density sensors, all balcony doors are double glazed and glass is tinted to reduce consumption of air conditioning.

We took ambience considerations at our Malta holiday accommodation by choosing outside colours light so as to reduce heat absorption and blend in with the environmental context nicely. We collect water by having catchment areas and five reservoirs designed into the property.

We use an ozone friendly refrigant R410. We planted 500 trees and shrubs to embellish and increase green areas at our Malta holiday accommodation. We have a responsible business programme which along with health and safety aspects includes two key priorities of showing responsibility for social and ethical issues in the company and in the community, and reducing the company’s negative impact on the natural environment. We employ local people and we support local councils through the initiatives organised as well by sponsoring some events throughout the year when the need arises. We support heritage Malta by collecting funds in our Malta holiday accommodation from guests willing to donate.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
