Our hotel has 10 bespoke hotel rooms, designed with a comfortable luxury appeal. Just South of the hotel is Brighton Beach and Marina, and to the South West is the heart of Kemp Town, one of Brighton & Hove's hidden and rustic treasures.

Bedrooms are defined by a contemporary fusion of precision and functionality. We provide our guests with a variety of room types: the ultimate in romance with our four poster beds, to our uber contemporary Venetian-style top floor. If staying with friends or family, book our basement family room with adjoining single room, and use of the patio - so you can have the space all to yourselves!

Once in the room, divine throws to cocoon yourself in will ensure you get a sweet-dream filled night's sleep. The rooms provide technology for those on business, or who can't escape too far from the madding crowd, with televisions, music systems and wireless broadband access.

  • how this holiday makes a difference
The Green Tourism Business Scheme award - SilverThroughout the hotel we have placed long-life low watt bulbs wherever possible. Having recently undergone a refurbishment we are assured that our insulation is of the highest possible standards. We aim to economise our gas consumption as much as possible and have installed a control system for the central heating which allows us to selectively restrict heating to rooms which are unoccupied and thus reducing wastage.

We have arranged with a local recycling co-operative for collections of all recyclable waste, such as glass, paper, cartons, tins, tetra packing, cardboard, ink, cartridges and phones. We actively encourage our guests to use public transport whenever possible, providing whenever we can, train and bus timetables, and brochures for South Downs walks for their use.

All our en suite bathrooms are provided with specialised hygienic soap dispensers made particularly for the hospitality industry. This enables us to reduce the wastage of both packing and un used soap products. We do ask our guests staying more than one night to place towels they wish to be washed on the floor thus minimising the need to wash towels guests are still satisfied with.

We use predominantly local suppliers and local food. We use fair-trade products where possible especially in the guest rooms and for the tea and coffee in the breakfast room. We support our local ‘charity shops’ by giving them any replaced kitchen items, bedroom linens, curtains or furniture.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
