  • how this holiday makes a difference
This resort is owned 100% by Seychellois. We always prefer to have Seychellois in our team and expatriate staff is only employed where absolutely necessary. Thus Seychellois have the maximum opportunity for improvement of their skills and abilities. We offer competitive salaries, good benefits and above all a great work environment. Staff training is a very important part of our business which facilitates the high standards of the resort. Our core philosophy is impressed upon all new employees from the beginning of their training to ensure we deliver modern day comforts in a naturally elegant environment.

The resort is located at the entrance of the Sainte Anne National Marine Park and built in such a way that it does not spoil the natural environment. All the villas are made out local and natural materials such as wood, stone, thatched roof and blend perfectly into the natural environment of the tropical forest. The resort has been built with minimum disruption to the natural environment of the island and all buildings are nestled into the flora and fauna and designed to blend into the tropical forest environment… trees, flowers, ponds, birds, wildlife… The resort treats wasted waters and uses them for watering, collects rain waters for its own consumption, minimizes and recycles its wastes.

There are no cars on the island. The only way to get around the resort is on foot. Electric golf cars are used only where necessary. All toilets are fitted with dual flush systems to conserve water. We minimise energy use by using eco-friendly light sources where we can. Towels and linen are only changed when necessary of when requested by guests. We compost wherever possible, minimize paper use and recycle glass, paper, plastic etc. We collect rain water and a treatment plant allows us to use all waste water again for gardening. We fertilize the garden with natural compost and do not use any pesticide.

The resort supports the local community wherever possible and intends to buy as many local products as possible such as furniture, materials and food products. The resort is a member and supporter of the Sainte Anne Marine National Park both financially and otherwise. No motorised sports are allowed in the marine park waters. We grow our own spices and buy locally produced foods such as vegetables, fruits, fish, etc.... as the restaurant features a fine dining cuisine influenced by classic Creole dishes and international standards.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've lead the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
