Furnishings have been tailored to represent themes inspired by Sicily’s mythology, places and flora. The complex has a private beach, a large breakfast room, an inner garden and terraces with a panoramic view which give our guests the opportunity to exchange ideas, to sunbathe or to enjoy the fresh air. We are situated by the marvellous beach of the "Tono", a few minutes away from Milazzo town centre.

  • how this holiday makes a difference
We are fully integrated on the Tono beach and have a low impact on the surrounding area. The beach, a few minutes away from Milazzo town centre, is an ideal seaside resort located on the final part of the Western Riviera. Besides the crystal-clear sea and the fiery red sunsets, it offers a fascinating view of the Aeolian Islands on one side and Mount Etna on the other. The hotel has been built employing local artisans and using local materials in the furnishings of the rooms, apartments and all the communal areas. Rooms, apartments and communal areas are also decorated with local handicrafts.

Even the garden surrounding the hotel is completely made up of native species. The terraces and the room balconies offer a breathtaking panoramic view on Mount Etna and the Aeolian Islands.

A wide choice of books and magazines related to Sicilian history and culture together with a daily delivery of local and national newspapers is available in our library. Hotel guests are also provided with maps which allow them to better enjoy the surrounding natural areas and the cultural highlights Milazzo offers as well as detailed suggestions on public transport, entertainment and restaurants.

We offer bikes to reduce the use of cars. Each activity within the hotel aims at minimizing the impact on the environment. All our electric appliances are A rated; we use solar energy for hot water and heating as well as low energy bulbs; all rooms, apartments and communal areas are insulated; we have separate waste disposal; we don’t use garden chemicals and we use environmental friendly cleaning products. We periodically train our staff on how to comply with our accreditation targets and we provide customers with suggestions on how to help us save water, energy and reduce waste. We aim to offer you a holiday in a human dimension, alternating fun with culture and relaxation, far away from stressful all-inclusive tours, which less and less succeed in satisfying the demands of the responsible tourist. Our policy combines the respect of local values with a green philosophy.

In 2007, we have also sponsored:
  • The Milazzo Film Festival
  • A short movie on disabled people (a sort of social movie promoted by the government of Sicily region)
  • A boat show held in Milazzo and focused on local boat companies production
  • A painting show of a local artist held in a Milazzo art gallery
  • And, a local table tennis team!
  • Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
