introduction to NSW

A picturesque property situated at Bombah Point near Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest on the shores of Myall Lakes within Myall National Park, on the mid-north coast of NSW.

From the balcony of your private villa, close your eyes and sample the sounds of pure nature. The water gently lapping at the shore. A cacophony of birds adding to the mix.

Then, open your eyes to the beauty of the lake shores. It’s stunning, yet peaceful waterfront vista capped off each day by a sunset to remember.

The resort is part of the magnificent Myall Lakes NP and one of Australia’s most unique and significant eco-systems.

But this resort is as much about adventure and exploration as it is about just taking in the sheer beauty. Our stunning natural surrounds will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed.

This brings you to the Bombah Point car ferry for the short trip across to the resort. To access the resort from the North, turn off at Bulahdelah, and take a leisurely 20 minute drive along the Bombah Point Road straight to the resort. how this holiday makes a difference
Our resort is located in a National Park and thus we have an acute awareness of our natural surroundings. Our villas have been designed to have minimal impact on the environment with less lighting, heating and cooling required than conventional rooms. Energy efficient light globes are used throughout the resort and all exterior lighting are sensored or on timers. All cleaning products used are environmentally friendly and instead of cars staff use electricity-fuelled golf buggies around the resort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Rainwater and bore water is used and a state of the art Sewerage Treatment Plant is currently in the process of being installed. We have duel flush toilets, water saving shower heads, laundry schemes where linen is changed every 7 days and we educate guests about the conservation of the national park as native wildlife such as kangaroos, possums, water dragons and an array of birdlife can be spotted throughout the Resort. An extensive recycling program has been put into place.

We are a very proud sponsor of the Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF) and Dragons Abreast Australia (DAA), a separate organisation set up to focus on breast cancer awareness. We donate Prize Vouchers to fundraising events and raffles, supporting worthy causes such as cancer research.

Pelicans, Lake shore resort in AustraliaThe resort is as much about community as it is the environment. As we treasure and blend in with our magnificent natural surrounds, we also admire and respect the wonderful communities which make up the NSW mid-north coast. That is why we are committed to being a part of the local community and supporting it in anyway possible. We employ all local staff, buy local produce and use local services.

We support tourism to the region as a member of Great Lakes Tourism and encourage our guests to partake in activities and use services locally. We support local schools and charities with prize donations for fund-raising events.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
