description
Stylish 3 bedroom family villas sleeping 2 - 6 guests, each villa with private swimming pool.
George, the Canadian-Greek owner has created a delightful garden around his villas. Only bamboo thickets and a small cornfield lie between this quiet location and the sea.
The interiors are particularly spacious and light with broad windows and large terraces for dining out on, taking full advantage of the sea views. Beamed ceilings, immaculate bathrooms and open-plan kitchens and comfortable furniture increase the sense of relaxation and style. Privacy has been carefully preserved; a tall traditional stone wall, covered in flowering climbers, divides one garden from the other.
Arillas, situated to the north west of Corfu, is a wonderful stretch of coast that is indented with wide bays and lovely sandy beaches. Once a sleepy village, Arillas has woken up to the advantages and possibilities of its perfect location and has now acquired some small shops, cafés and tavernas. Guests can walk downhill to the village in the evening or relax at home knowing their older children can be independent, safe and entertained in what is still basically a small and friendly village.
Please note: Based on return flights from the UK - supplements / reductions may be applicable depending on flight & class availability at time of booking.

The villas are owned and built by a local family all using local materials and contractors. The furniture is mainly produced by local craftsmen using traditional techniques.
There are information packs at the villas which give details of local businesses and our local representative promotes many of the local mini-markets, tavernas and businesses. This is to ensure that local enterprise and individuals receive maximum economic benefit from tourist revenues as well as ensuring that tourists can find the best local produce. Recycling bins are provided by the owner for clients to recycle paper, bottles and cans. This is then collected by us for recycling at a central location as there is no local collection service. As a company we aim to encourage local economic growth and to work in harmony with local communities and to respect their culture, traditions and environments. All of our owners (bar one) and suppliers used are local. We prefer to employ the services of independent local business as suppliers in each of their destinations. We work with local car hire firms for all our car rentals, boat hire firms for boat rental and we utilize the services of local village shops and mini markets to compile our welcome hampers. We also encourage our guests to use the services of local restaurants and shops, archeological sites/excursions - always booking through locals rather than large multi national companies. In addition to this we encourage our guests to visit local attractions and beaches within the area they are staying, as opposed to suggesting they go further afield. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
