description
Attractive Mediterranean-style 3 bedroom villa that sleeps 2 - 6 guests with a private swimming pool.

Bedroom, Casa LiluWith an interior worth featuring in any glossy on Mediterranean style, this spanking new private villa offers rural charm on the Valinco Gulf.

Just inland on the peaceful span of coast that runs between Abbartello and Porto Pollo, Casa Lilu lies amongst endless meadows. As you wander through the vast grounds, you immediately feel part of the countryside.

Indoors, bright colour-washed walls (each bedroom with its own colour scheme) are a foil for the pleasing textures of terracotta, wrought iron, ceramics and pretty soft furnishings. And there’s oodles of space for relaxing: the charming dining room with huge wrought iron table and chairs has glass doors opening onto a terrace of wooden decking; the living room leads out onto a covered veranda where a comfy wicker sofa awaits the indolent.

Equidistant are Abbartello’s shops, tennis court and restaurants and more sandy swimming spots. Porto Pollo with its diving schools, restaurants and sheltered beach is under 10 minutes drive away, as are the amazing standing stones of Filitosa. Propriano itself is reached in only 20 minutes.

Please note: Based on return flights from the UK - supplements / reductions may be applicable depending on flight & class availability at time of booking.

how this holiday makes a difference
This villa has an efficient under floor Geo Thermal heating/cooling system. Currently the French Government gives grants to villa owners wanting to install such a system as a deterrent to install A/C units. The Geo thermal system runs on a small motor which uses significantly less electricity than air conditioning units.

We are proud to promote responsible travel and would very much like to encourage our guests to be proactive in recycling and utilising local recycling facilities, in order to help us make a positive impact in maintaining the beauty and harmony of this stunning island. Details of the nearest recycling facilities, provided by the council, can be found in your villa and your information Guide. We encourage you to use these facilities during your stay in Corsica. If you do have any further queries regarding recycling please contact your local representative.

Beach, Casa LiluAll our villas contain an information pack promoting other local shops, restaurants and local places of interest, especially in the smaller rural communities. Our country representatives have detailed knowledge of local businesses and facilities and are able to ensure that clients are well informed on where to buy local produce in order to support the local economy.

As a company we aim to encourage local economic growth and to work in harmony with local communities and to respect their culture, traditions and environments. All of our owners and suppliers used are local. We prefer to employ the services of independent local business as suppliers in each of their destinations. We work with local car hire firms for all our car rentals and we utilize the services of local village shops and mini markets to compile our welcome hampers.

We also encourage our guests to use the services of local restaurants and shops, archaeological sites/excursions - always booking through locals rather than large multi national companies. In addition to this we encourage our guests to visit local attractions and beaches within the area they are staying, as opposed to suggesting they go further afield.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
