Batabano Carnival (April/ May)
The annual Batabano Carnival brings the Cayman Islands together in a colourful cultural celebration of costume parades, music and dancing. The infectious rhythms of soca, calypso and steel drums fill the streets with electrifying energy. The heart and soul of Batabano are the Mas' (Masquerading) Bands, who interpret social issues with creativity and imagination. The elaborate costumes and floats are traditionally inspired by the beautiful local marine environment.
The islands are home to many sea turtles. The word batabano refers to the track left in the sand by the turtles as they drag themselves onto the beach to nest.
International Underwater film Festival (November)
A fantastic film festival with world renowned underwater photographers and cinematographers. This is a fun filled program for all divers, and we’ll be recognizing the newest inductees to the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame that you will meet and dive and dine with too!

The Intertrust Cayman Islands Marathon takes place on the first Sunday in December every year. The event consists of a full marathon, half marathon, 4-person relay and a Kids Fun Run.
