Just how exceptional would you like your holiday to be?
From day one in 2001, we realised something incredibly simple.
If the people who ran your holiday lived and worked in the destination and really loved it they would care about giving you a different kind of experience - something really exceptional.
No matter what type of holiday you choose travelling with our partners is more than just a brief stay somewhere - it's a real connection with the people, the landscape, the culture, the food and the environment.
They want you to feel a little like you really live there for a short while, and can enjoy the peace and quiet or the pace and excitement of the place as much as the people who really live there do.
We call this travelling like a local.
Sorting, sifting, selecting holidays
This puts us under some pressure because it's our responsibility to sift from millions upon millions of holidays to find the experiences that are truly authentic.
Luckily our job is made that little bit easier because our reputation is such that all sorts of wonderful people from all over the world bring their holidays to us to market. We choose very special holidays, run by remarkable people from specialist tour operators and accommodations, from all 4 corners of the planet.
More than a fabulous holiday
The holiday providers that we work with have thought a lot about where they live and work. They care passionately about keeping it unspoilt by tourism. They don't want their beaches packed like sardines, or their restaurants selling food you can get everywhere else. They want you to have a remarkable experience.
They want you to come because your time, and, lets be honest, your money spent in these amazing places help to create extraordinary things. You help preserve culture. You help protect nature. You help sustain long-term growth.
The holiday providers help build schools, communities, medical centres, water pumps, conserve turtles and forests; you name it. They all take responsibility for the travel you do, the holiday you enjoy and the livelihoods you affect.
We urge you to think very carefully when choosing a holiday with us. Who will benefit? What change effect are you looking for? How hands on do you want to be. And let's be honest, how hands off do you want to be (it is a holiday after all).
This isn't just sales talk - read independent reviews
These amazing holidays end up becoming an extraordinary experience. But don't take our word for it - check out 5000 independent and unedited reviews from customers who have been bowled over by their experience.
Every day we are amazed at the personal comments that are sent to us. Our reviews are rated from one star to five stars and apologies in advance for blowing our own trumpet, but our average rating is 4 and a half.
If you're going to go out of your way to have an absolutely incredible and amazing holiday, then you'd expect us to go out of our way to find it.
And we do.
That's a responsibility we love to live up to and love to fulfil.
