Teach and hit the beach in the Gulf of Thailand! You’ll have a great time teaching in Koh Tao, a great island for diving with an active nightlife complimenting the amazing beaches, and lots of eager children keen to learn English.
Work with disadvantaged children in Thailand and make a positive impact to their wellbeing. The children you will be looking after come from very poor backgrounds with little access to education or care.
The project focuses on strengthening the local community capacity to implement conservation programs at Koh Phra Thong through environmental education, English teaching and developing supplementary livelihoods activities.
You’ll be teaching various year groups of primary school children in one school and will be responsible for constructing lessons throughout your stay, although we do have plenty of novel ideas left from previous volunteers and our local Thai coordinators are always on hand should you need a bit of help. Teach English in this tropical paradise and you’ll be marking books and drawing up lesson plans on the golden sands of the Gulf of Thailand. Helping hands and warm hearts are needed to give youngsters a boost in government-run primary schools on the island, where teachers use their skills to broaden horizons of local children.
You will volunteer in a local government school for Thai children from 4-12 years old, teaching English in a communicative and fun way. Schools are based on the islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
