You will be based on Koh Tao, a beautiful and fun island in the Gulf of Thailand, which is now one of the world’s top dive locations. The island is a dramatic mix of dense jungle and hilly terrain and is surrounded by an excellent range of dive sites.
The coral reefs and mangrove swamps on the coast of Thailand are stunning places and they're doing well. But they are threatened by fishing, tourism, shrimp farms and climate change.
This scientific and conservation programme was designed in cooperation with Ecocean to search, locate, and record Whale Shark activity in Thailand’s Andaman Sea. Participants will stay at our beach resort on Koh Phra Thong, the closest land mass to the Surin Island’s National Park and Richelieu Rock.
