An active adventure from mountain to coast with all of Turkey's most impressive sights in between!
The excitement of canoeing in Koprulu Canyon, hiking amid the stunning natural beauty of the Lycian Mountains and a 2 day gulet cruise to some of the most beautiful bays around Fethiye and Gocek is combined with the equally striking landscapes of Cappadocia and Pamukkale and the ancient city of Ephesus.
Staying in simple pensions, tree houses and as guests of Turkish families, we have an exceptional taster of local hospitality.

how this holiday makes a difference
|
Away from the busy tourist areas Turkey's reputation for traditional hospitality really comes to life. For many years we have been staying in small mountain house in a remote area of Southern Turkey where there is little source of income apart from tourism. We also visit Konya, home of the Whirling Dervishes sect and the heart of religion in Turkey, where the group is able to gain a deeper insight into the philosophy and spiritualism of Islam and our tour leaders advise travellers on how to behave and dress appropriately.
Our tour leaders are a mix of foreigners and locals who all have an incredible understanding of local life and who all receive the SAME wages for the same job. In Cappadocia our tour leader will use their local knowledge to get well off the tourist trail on hikes through remote areas - while reminding travellers of the importance of respect and environmental responsibility. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
