the amazing things you'll be doing
Tailor-made holidays are nothing less than an excellent and singular way to visit a country. With that in mind we carefully look at every possible detail when customizing each trip. It is true that while in Brazil one can spend many days exploring without ever being bored or leaving the starting point.
Its geographic positioning makes for Brazil a country of easy access and good weather year round. This country of all flavours, cultures and natural beauties has a bit or rather a lot to offer to those interested in going beyond the "Bossa Nova" state.
From any corner of Brazil's 26 states one can undoubtedly be lead to mountains of all heights and sizes, luscious green forests or dry and arid lands always surrounded by natural wild inhabitants (many of which can be found on today's list of rare and endangered species), rivers with numerous waterfalls some so high that the waters evaporate before reaching the ground, ocean or river beaches of all sorts and shapes, a costal band of over 7 thousand kilometres filled with marine wildlife (the island of Fernando de Noronha alleged to be the best stop in the world for scuba diving).
Choices for accommodations are not any smaller or simplistic either; we strongly suggest staying at some charming boutique hotels, where personal and attentive service takes priority. Nevertheless the options are open to any special request in combination with we offer the extremes: floating jungle lodges, historic hotels and farms or even the ever so Chic 5 star hotels in the big cities. The dream is yours; we are only the executioners.
Despite all that one must not forget that the real reason we believe Brazil is so special lies inside each Brazilian soul. Within their hearts a past, present and future holds the rhythm of this wonderfully exotic but controversial country. It is also known that the "Brazilian Way" is one of the many reasons travellers become enamoured forever.
Cultural Trips: can take travellers through many of Brazil's inner secrets: artisan's workshops, music and dance classes, wildlife research, socio-economic studies, archaeological sites, culinary classes and a very dear and holy to all natives – the religious festivities
Some of Brazil's latest awards were given to locations and people working beyond limits in making a difference for the good of to the locals, the country and ultimately the world. UNEP - UN Environmental Program Award - 2003 was given to Mr. Dener Jose Giovani founder of Brazil's National Network for Combating Animal Trafficking.
Smithsonian & Travellers Conservation Fund – Sustainable Tourism and Conservation Award – 2003 was given to Mamirauá Sustainable Reserve for their conservation, community involvement and educational work with the local community.
“Conservation Corridor” – a 25 million acre “mega-park” was created in the state of Amapá, encompassing about 70% of the world's largest protected stretch of tropical rainforest.

travellers' tales
The tour arranged for us was magnificent. all guides were local and knowledgeable. The Amazon Lodge at Manaus was the star location... And isn't Rio just the best city in the world? (more)
Don't leave it too late! Please note that not many airlines fly to Brazil and flights can be expensive (and difficult to find) if you leave it too late to book. We recommend that flights are booked at least 3 months prior to departure. For holidays and Carnaval you'll need to plan even further in advance. The longer you leave it, the more expensive it'll be.

When we think of making a difference while travelling we associate that with knowledge and care. Today we know that there is no place on this planet that needs more care over another. However, in order to care for something one must first know about the reasons associated to the needs. By educating our travellers before each trip we make sure that knowledge overcomes criticism and turn into positive actions. By being a very small company we can insure that over 80% of the revenues collected remain in Brazilian hands.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
