the amazing things you'll be doing
Rocketing down singletrack and muddy trails or spinning along country roads - a weekend in the beautiful countryside of Wales is the perfect way to unwind, meet new friends and have fun!
Primarily off-road, the routes vary in degrees of difficulty and to maximize the 'grin factor', each is modified depending on the ability of the group.
Each trip is kept specifically small; between six to fifteen riders and is fully guided with two guides enabling us to cater for different fitness and experience levels in the group. If you haven't got your own bike, you can hire one from us and if you're unsure of which weekend to book, just give us a call.
Our support vehicle carries plenty of delicious munchies for the 'snack stops' as well as lots of drinks and a delicious buffet-style lunch. It's also got bike spares and space for tired bikers if the going gets too tough.
Our converted barn/cottage weekends offer tremendous value for money with hearty meals included in the cost. For those who want a little more luxury at the end of a hard day's ride, our Bed and Breakfast weekends are a great option. Dinner on Saturday night is in a local pub or restaurant. You can drive to the weekend location, or take advantage of our free train station pick-up service to avoid those Friday night traffic jams. If you are a group of six or more and our dates don't suit, we can organise a weekend especially for you, just give us a call!

this tourism business was Highly Commended
In our 2005 First Choice Responsible Tourism Awards, the largest awards of their kind in the world, and organised by responsibletravel.com in association with The Times, World Travel Market and Geographical Magazine. The idea behind the Awards is that all types of tourism – from niche to mainstream – can and should be operated in a way that respects and benefits destinations and local people. how this holiday makes a difference
|
Global adventures start with a local perspective – that's the our philosophy. Whether abroad, or just as importantly at home, the start point is the same; how to get the most enjoyable holiday for our customers while benefiting the local people, economy and respecting the environment.
Cycling is a great way to explore the countryside, travelling at a speed that enables you to take in the surroundings without damaging the environment. Our UK mountain bike tours follow a variety of designated tracks and bridleways, minimising damage to the counrtyside. In each of our locations, such as the Derbyshire White Peak and Dorset, we use local guides, small independent B&B's, guest houses and hotels to ensure that the money stays in the local economy. Where we provide food we aim to use locally produced product. We provide travellers with Travellers Codes that encourage the reduction of water usage, systems for collecting, recycling or safe disposal of litter and relevant suggestions to minimise damage to the environment, wildlife and marine ecosystems. All our holidays have a maximum group size of 12 to 15 people minimising both the social and environmental impact. We work with and support Sustrans and the development of the excellent National Cycle Network and use these routes for our UK Cycling Breaks. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
