Protected rainforests cover the eastern two-thirds of the island providing plenty of walking opportunities where you can find your own deserted, palm-fringed Robinson Crusoe beaches.
This honeymoon itinerary includes private transfers on arrival as well as car hire to allow you the freedom to explore this idyllic island at your own pace. Blue Waters Inn, Cuffe River and Arnos Vale combine perfectly to create a wonderfully diverse honeymoon. If you’re looking for picturesque beachfront seclusion, rainforest adventures and relaxing, laid back Caribbean atmosphere, this is the honeymoon for you.

|
Tobago's Forest Reserve cloaks the island's Main Ridge and is the oldest protected rainforest in the western hemisphere. As such, it's a fabulous place for anybody with an interest in nature. The birdlife is particularly varied. Tobago is a relatively late developer in terms of Caribbean tourism and has been able to learn from the mistakes of its neighbours, recognising natural heritage as one of its most important assets.
There is subsequently a healthy interest in preserving this resource and encouraging the development of low-impact non mass-market tourism. All of our hotels can provide or reccommend excellent local guides and simply by enjoying their services you will be contributing directly to this very important sector of the Tobagonian economy and encouraging the development of environmental tourism on the island. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
