"What a great alternative way of exploring a country, bobbing ontop of the crystal waters with a dolphin-eye-view! Where the blue of the sea and sky are met in the middle with a contrasting flash of orange topped roofs, experience the true Croatia by staying and exploring with real locals."

Sea kayaking holiday in Croatia
Sea kayaking in the clear blue Mediterranean Sea around the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik - Croatia - with friendly guides is a holiday you will love! We invite you to join us on our sea kayaking holiday to the Dubrovnik Old City Walls or the green Elaphite islands, close to the shore. This sea kayaking holiday in Croatia features overnight stays in guest houses on Lopud & Sipan islands of the Dubrovnik archipelago.

Sea kayaking distances range from 15 to 20 km and the sea kayaking holiday is most suited to those who already have some sea kayaking experience.
a typical day sea kayaking in Croatia
Morning: Our base is the guesthouse, where we meet each morning for breakfast. The main activity in the morning is paddling. Enroute, we stop at hidden beaches and caves for swimming, snorkelling and exploring.

Lunch: While sea kayaking we stop at typical local taverns and restaurants. The food is delicious and the prices reasonable. On the islands there are also grocery stores where one can buy a sandwich.

Afternoon: After lunch we usually take the siesta, since it is the hottest part of the day. Then you can swim, snorkel, explore the island or simply sit in a shade and enjoy your afternoon coffee. After siesta, we continue our kayaking expedition.

Late afternoon: We return to the guesthouse. There is usually some time between our return from sea kayaking and dinner so you can relax in your room or take a walk.

Evening: We dine in a cosy local restaurant. Three dinners are included in the price of the sea kayaking holiday. Food is one of the highlights on this tour. You can enjoy typical Mediterranean specialties, seafood, fresh vegetables seasoned with excellent olive oil. Vegetarian food is available as well.

travellers' tales
Completely memorable. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I did not want to leave. The scenery, food (especially the ice cream on Lopud), people, walks, weather, and local activities that crop up make this trip truly worth the effort of booking. (more)
how this holiday makes a difference
Sea kayaking holiday in Croatia, aerial viewOn this sea kayaking holiday in Croatia we work with local guest houses on the islands and do not take commission from the local guesthouse owners.

All of our sea kayaking guides are aware of their surrounding and they are constantly providing the travellers with suggestions of how to minimize potential negative impacts on the marine ecosystems of Croatia. Our sea kayaking guides emphasize the importance of observing the marine life and leaving the environment as it is.

Our sea kayaks are made of recyclable plastic. They do not cause any form of air or water pollution and they do not produce noise that could be disturbing for marine life.

On our sea kayaking holiday we suggest that our travellers visit historically, culturally and environmentally important sights in Croatia such as the Dubrovnik's Old Town, Renaissance villas on the island of Sipan and Lokrum Nature Park.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
