the amazing things you'll be doing
This all inclusive adventure break is based on the Pembrokeshire coastline in Britain’s only coastal National Park. The area is rich in wildlife, flora and fauna; sea birds, grey seals, and cetaceans are all visitors to this magnificent stretch of coast.
Your adventures will be led by our qualified and friendly guides and our dedicated hospitality staff will ensure that you leave with your need for fun, exploration and adventures well satiated. Your base for the event will be the Visitwales graded 5 star Preseli Venture Eco Adventure Lodge, Pembrokeshire’s only 5 star activity centre. The lodge is nestled in a valley, with just a 10 minute walk to the local beach, a wild and beautiful spot, and a place where seals sometimes sleep.
By day you can coasteer, sea kayak, bike and surf along with our friendly and experienced guides, and by night you can kick back and relax in front of our wood burning stove, or enjoy beers round a bonfire under the stars.
This adventure event includes all home cooked meals, comfy lodge accommodation, 2 half day adventures, a half day hike on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastline, all specialist kit, qualified and friendly guides, and the services of a dedicated event co ordinator who will be on hand to ensure that your adventure event runs smoothly and that you leave with your need for fun, adventure and exploration well satiated.
We welcome adults of 18 years plus – you don’t need to have tried any of these activities before, you just need a reasonable level of fitness and a sense of adventure!
We operate our adventure trips year round – each season brings new flora and fauna to the Pembrokeshire coastline. Autumn and Winter months are great for the surf, September brings Atlantic grey seals and their pups, and April and May bring a carpet of bluebells to the woodland. From March to July wild flowers including sea campion and rock samphire appear in a beautiful colourful succession on the coastal slopes and inland hedgebanks.

day-by-day itinerary
| Day 1: | Arrival at the adventure lodge, followed by supper and time to relax or take a walk to the local beach. |
| Day 2: | Hot home cooked breakfast followed by your first adventure of the day – perhaps you’ll take a coasteer along the magnificent coastline, exploring the rock pools, learning about the flora and fauna of the National Park – and jumping off a few cliffs, of course! Then back to the adventure lodge for a hearty lunch. Your second event of the day might be something more low key – perhaps a hike on the Pembrokeshire coast path, self guided and taken at your own pace, finishing at the local beach and the bluebell woods. Back at the lodge take a hot shower, followed by a delicious meal, and then the chance to relax or party in the lodge bar, or perhaps enjoy a bevvie around a blazing bonfire under the stars. |
| Day 3: | Breakfast, and then depart for your third and final adventure – we can heartily recommend a half day sea kayaking along the coast, exploring sandy bays, towering cliffs, and sea caves. Or why not try a half day surf session? With more blue flag beaches than any other area of the UK, Pembrokeshire is an awesome spot to start your surfing career, and under the watchful eye of our qualified surf guides you’ll be up and surfing in no time! Follow this with lunch, and then depart in the afternoon. |
lower carbon travel
We encourage travel to Pembrokeshire by public transport, we offer a free transfer from Haverfordwest train or bus station to the lodge at the start and finish of our events. Our minibuses run on bio diesel; used chip oil! Journeys are kept to a minimum, and our coastal adventures are low impact and low carbon by their very nature. You can book your train tickets and check timetables online with Arriva Trains Wales here
how this holiday makes a difference
|
We are committed to continuing to be an economic force for sustainable use of our coastal National Park – our priorities are to meet the needs and expectations of our customers, whilst at the same time benefiting the local people, the local economy, and respecting the environment.
This adventure centre is a founder member of the Pembrokeshire Outdoor Charter Group, which exists to develop sustainable environmental growth in a rapidly expanding outdoor adventure and tourism industry, and we are also involved in actively lobbying and campaigning for increased access to Pembrokeshire via public transport. Surfing, biking, coasteering, kayaking and hiking are all fabulous low impact ways of exploring the coastline. We keep travelling to a minimum, and run our minibuses on local bio diesel to lessen the impact of our travel. Our adventure lodge accommodation is low impact in many ways – a ground source heat pump provides hot water and heating, and electricity is sourced from a green energy provider. Food is sourced locally as far as possible, food waste is composted, and other waste is recycled. We reuse, reduce and recycle as far as possible, and encourage our guests to do the same. We employ a range of local people as guides and hospitality staff, and through our interactions with our guests we aim to impart our enthusiasm, and respect for, the inspirational Pembrokeshire coast and countyside By providing year round employment for local people, and year round visitors in a geographical area renowned for problems of seasonality we make a strong and positive contribution to the local economy. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
