day-by-day itinerary
| Day 1: | Arrive and relax. On arrival in northern Spain you are collected by your Pura Aventura guide who drives you to the stunning Picos de Europa mountains. Spend your week in a small, comfortable hotel in a valley next to a stream. (D) |
| Day 2: | Canoe a mountain river. Start your holiday with some fun time in the water paddling 2 person canoes through the pretty scenery. Afternoon to explore one of the beaches near Llanes. (B) |
| Day 3: | Walk the Cares Gorge. Walk the famous Cares gorge. The path is carved into the side of a cliff. Walk up to 22km, 6hrs, up 250m, down 250m. (B) |
| Day 4: | Ride bikes along the coast. Head to nearby coast. Ride out along the coastal hills, down to the coast and back along the shoreline. Beach and swimming this afternoon. (B) |
| Day 5: | Hike to a high peak. Drive into the Liebana Valley to ride the cable-car to the upper reaches of the mountains. Walk to the peak of one of the highest peaks in the Picos. Walk 12km, 5hrs, up 700m, down 700m. (B) |
| Day 6: | Day to relax or be active. Today is at leisure for you to catch your breath, take a wander into the hills behind the hotel or opt for a more active pursuit. (B) |
| Day 7: | Walk on a Roman road. Walk to a ridge from where you have views of the high peaks to the south and the sea to the north. Walk up to 12km, 6hrs, up 950m, down 450m. (B) |
| Day 8: | Departure. Relax this morning at the hotel before flying home. (B) |

Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. We book directly, ensuring maximum benefit for local communities. We keep our groups very small (8 max) and we send you lots of information about your destination before you leave – guidebooks, maps, local information, etc. Because you travel as an informed tourist, you get more from your holiday and you will know how to minimise the environmental impact of your visit. You can choose to offset carbon emissions from your flights.
