the amazing things you'll be doing
Charter a skippered yacht with friends or family and discover some of the world’s best sailing as you cruise the Inner Hebrides. Starting at a small Highland port near Oban, destinations could include Mull, Jura, Iona or the Treshnish Isles to name but a few. As a private group, the options are limitless and your expert skipper will take you to some incredible coves, islands and anchorages.
No previous experience is required, although this trip can be equally enjoyed by experienced sailors keen to explore this fantastic stretch of water. You will enjoy great sailing, relaxed walks on the islands if desired, the thrill of wildlife encounters (this is prime whale-watching territory) and excellent meals prepared by our chef. This is a superb experience which will stay with you for many years.

how this holiday makes a difference
Despite its beauty, the Highlands and Islands is one of the least affluent regions of Scotland. By bringing the benefits of tourism to this area and using local services and produce, we help to support local businesses, create employment and contribute to the overall sustainable development of the region. By its very nature, sailing is a very sustainable mode of travel. Clients are encouraged to use the train to travel to Oban (the trip start and finish times are set to coincide with the arrival and departure of the Glasgow train), so no cars need to be used on these environmentally friendly maritime adventures. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
