the amazing things you'll be doing
Lovers of the sea enjoy a week of island-hopping off the coast of Belize! The world's second largest barrier reef is dotted with tiny cayes forming the ultimate sea- kayaking playground. Our trip combines just the right amount of time for kayaking, snorkelling and relaxing in the crystal clear blue waters of Belize.

Our local crew, support boat and one- and two-person kayaks are sure to make even the most inexperienced paddler an expert in no time! Join us as we paddle and snorkel through this tropical paradise.
day-by-day itinerary
Day 1:Arrive Belize City.
Day 2:Placencia. We depart Belize City for the coastal town of Placencia. Our afternoon is spent getting acquainted with this charming town and its golden beach. Enjoy fresh seafood for dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3-6:Island Hopping (4B,4L,4D). We depart Placencia by motorboat for our kayaking start point, which varies according to local conditions. We spend the next 4 days kayaking between islands including possible stops in the Silk Cayes, Pumpkin Caye and Sapadillo Cayes. The exact cayes visited may vary, as we want to avoid the crowds. Enjoy approximately 2 to 4 hours per day kayaking to our destination, with plenty of free time to snorkel, relax on the beach, explore, read or do more paddling around the islands. We sleep on the islands in tents, or if you prefer, under the stars! All meals are included during these days and your diet will consist of plenty of fresh fish, with fruit and vegetables. In April you have the chance to spot Whale Sharks. These gentle giants are the world's largest fish and are harmless to humans.
Day 7:Placencia. After a morning paddle or snorkel, we return to Placencia for a well-deserved freshwater shower, dinner and a real bed at our comfortable seaside hotel.
Day 8:Depart Belize City. We take an early morning flight to Belize City to connect with your international flight.
small group adventure holiday
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.
how this holiday makes a difference
We ensure minimal social and environmental impact in the places we visit by travelling in small groups (max 12), using local transportation, kayaking, camping and staying in locally-owned accommodation. We also work with experienced local guides who are knowledgeable of Belize’s culture, history, flora and fauna.

We encourage our travellers to act responsibly while visiting marine environments and educate them by including information in our Dossiers about the importance of coral reefs and provide useful tips about how to act responsibly while visiting these fragile marine environments.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
