the amazing things you'll be doing
Explore the fabled 'Lost City' of Petra, camp under the stars in Wadi Rum after a desert camel ride and float in the Dead Seas.
Jordan, with its spectacular desert scenery, archaeological treasures and Dead and Red Seas, is an ideal destination for a short but varied trip. Petra is indisputably one of the most amazing sites in the world. Hidden for centuries, it wasn't until Swiss explorer Burkhardt 'discovered' it in 1812 that the 'Lost City' became known to the western world.
Wadi Rum is one of the most stunning desert-scapes in the world and we spend a night camping under the stars. We complete the trip with a soak in the thick saline waters of the Dead Sea and a chance to swim or snorkel over amazing coral in the Red Sea.

Throughout your holiday you'll be staying in locally owned hotels, and this combined with using outstanding local guides ensures money goes directly back into local communities.
You'll also be staying with a local Bedouin family in Wadi Rum, and all money paid at archaeological sites is used for restoration and maintenance of these beautiful historic treasures. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
