how this holiday makes a difference
These amazing parts of Rajasthan are brought alive by our local guides who are excited to take you on private guided tours of the main attractions. The local ruling family in the beautifully restored Deogargh Mahal are also awaiting your visit. Booking this trip you can be confident of travelling with a very responsible independent tour operator who supports many projects throughout the world. In India we support a shelter for abandoned and orphaned girls. It provides them with an education and teaches them a variety of skills such as sewing and cooking that will assist them in finding employment in the future. Over the last five years nearly £4600 from our Responsible Travel funds have helped the shelter complete many of their objectives, including installing air coolers and funding social outings for the girls like picnics and overnight trips. Please e-mail responsibletravel.com for links to our other responsible travel projects and volunteer tours. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
