how this holiday makes a difference
For this itinerary we visit through Vietnam many destinations with a strong commitment to protecting the environment. We encourage regular interaction with environmental organizations and the tourism industry. We promote visitor awareness and considerate behavior. Our guides and drivers help training tourists to save water, electricity, put all their rubbish in a dustbin or a recycle bin. Wherever practical we use public transport such as the local bus from Hanoi to Halong Bay and the sleeper train to Hue, Danang, Saigon. This is not only contributing to the local economy, but results in fewer carbon emissions per head than does smaller forms of transport. In this trip we stay in local houses or small hotels, employ local guides. We help tourists buy all produces from the local market and shops, all fish for our meals from local fisherman. We offer cooking lessons in Hoa Sua school in Hanoi and give the profit to the School to help poor students. For the trip in Hoi An we have been trying to develop and enrich our service with basket boat dancing competition, crab catching competition. We introduce the guests not only the beauty of the landscape, the culture and the soul of Hoi An people but also helped them to understand about the daily life activities, the way the fisherman living, farmer in Hoi An town during the operation of our tours. We also expect our guests to obey strictly the regulation how to protect and preserve the local environment where they were going to visit. In addition in with that, we also organize for all members of a mass organization local guides, local people to carry out collecting garbage’s, clearing disposes on the way to The Water Coconut Palm Paradise, buying and letting all the animals like birds, fish, crab back to The Water Coconut Palm trees where they were hunted by the local people and we have also focused tourist feedbacks on our tour operation so that we will assure that we can offer our guest with better service quality. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
