the amazing things you'll be doing
The whole family will enjoy this unique adventure. It is fun, exciting and relaxing and we keep to small groups with maximum of 3 families.
For one week we are based on the island of Lopud, an ideal place for a family holiday (45 minutes by ferry from Dubrovnik).
There is no traffic on the island (except for a few bikes) and the only inhabited place is a small village of Lopud, with limestone houses, lovely churches, natural sandy beaches and a picturesque boulevard with palm trees. All of our activities are easy and suitable for children over 7 years old and at all times the group is accompanied by our experienced guide.
We stay in a local guest house, dinners and breakfast are in a local restaurant.

day-by-day itinerary
| Day 1: | Arrival and transfer from Dubrovnik airport to the island of Lopud. |
| Day 2: | Morning - introduction to sea kayaking in shallow protected bay. Afternoon - paddling to the other side of the island and the bay of Sunj with a picturesque natural sandy beach. | Day 3: | We go for a snorkelling adventure by rubber speed boat. Today you will go to the places known only by locals and we will explore some amazing caves… We will provide you with snorkelling gear and scooters. |
| Day 4: | Sea kayaking and walking on the island of Kolocep. |
| Day 5: | Sea kayaking on the island of Sipan. |
| Day 6: | Fun day!!! We go by boat to Dubrovnik and enjoy a banana and tube ride. In the afternoon we will have fun playing waterpolo, the most popular sport in the Dubrovnik region. |

travellers' tales
Sea kayaking in the beautiful, clear turquoise waters of the Adriatic and staying on a wonderfully unspoilt traffic-free island were the best parts. (more)
how this holiday makes a difference
|
We always employ local guides. Beside the fact that this kind of employment brings benefits to the local community, local guides are very familiar with the area and they know local people.
Our guides emphasize the importance of leaving the environment as it is. We observe marine life but we do not disturb it. We direct our travellers to local private accommodation which enhances the visitors’ experience, since they get an opportunity to be welcomed by a local host and thus get better insight in everyday life of the local people on Croatian islands. Also, in this way our travellers are contributing to the local economy. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've lead the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
