the amazing things you'll be doing
This tour departs from Johannesburg and travels through the Northern part of South Africa. The tour travels through the Kalahari desert where nights are spent admiring the African night sky. After spending nights at a Bushmen village, the tour pushes onto the Okavango Delta. Whilst in the Delta, you will get the opportunity to travel in dugout mokoros whilst witnessing the abundance of wildlife. Participants will also get the opportunity to go on 4x4 open vehicle safaris in Moremi, as well as game viewing cruise on the Chobe river.

2 nights are spent at Victoria Falls where you can partake in numerous activities including, micro-light flights, bungee jumps, white water rafting down the Zambezi etc. After the adrenaline packed 2 days, the tour heads south to the Makgadikgadi salt pans, the biggest of their type in the world! Sunset is spent on the pans (weather permitting), and the following day the tour heads towards South Africa. After camping close to the mighty Limpopo river, the tour heads back to Johannesburg. This is the perfect holiday for those who are looking for time away from the busy lifestyle that we all find ourselves caught up in every now and then.

how this holiday makes a difference
On the Botswana Adventure we stay at Dqae Qare Bushmen village. This is a local community project where the guesthouse, campsite and walks are owned and operated by the local bushman community. All revenue goes directly to the community. We utilise sustainable practises when visiting the Moremi Wildlife Reserve removing all rubbish and leaving campsites as pristine and natural as possible. Moremi is a community owned Wildlife Reserve with proceeds helping the surrounding communities.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
