Start your adventure in Jordan in Amman. This capital city boasts wide and modern boulevards, shopping centres and ancient sites, all in one! We then travel to Wadi Rum where Lawrence of Arabia once gathered his troops for an assault on Aqaba. The rose red city of Petra, Kerak and Madaba are just a few of the wonderful stops on this great tour.
Activities include extensive walking at Petra, jeep safari in Wadi Rum, snorkelling and sightseeing. Price includes all accommodation (usually in comfortable tourist class hotels on a twin share basis), transportation (private air-conditioned transport, private taxi, jeep), meals and entrance fees as per the itinerary, tour leader and Jordanian guide. Max group size is 15 people.

The natural beauty of Wadi Rum, Petra and the Red Sea combined with the various historic sites - Jerash really is an underrated treasure - and of course floating in the Dead Sea were simply fantastic. (more)
small group adventure holiday
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.highly commended

how this holiday makes a difference
|
Make your holiday in Jordan something to always remember – but not at the expense of the environment or the local people.
We stay in locally owned and operated hotels throughout the tour thereby supporting the local ecomony rather than using large internationally owned hotel chains. We take a jeep safari through the Bedouin area of Wadi Rum which provides an insight into their life and also provides an important source of income to the local people there who provide camel rides or other services. The entrance fees paid in Petra help to pay for maintenance and preservation of this site. Throughout the tour we are accompanied by a Jordanian guide thus providing a direct contribution to the local economy and your bonus is that he will share his passion and his local knowledge of his country with you. At the Red Sea coast we work with environmentally certified dive schools (members of HEPCA organisation). Our tour leaders are very pro-active and will advise travellers on how best to minimise their impact on the Red Sea and prevent damage to the delicate eco-system. All of our tour leaders are trained in accordance with responsible travel policies and will brief our groups about this issue at the start of the tour. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
