the amazing things you'll be doing
Five beach chalets set just 300 metres back from the wonderful Cirali Beach.
The wooden chalets here are simply a joy to behold. Their beautiful Polynesian design with cool thatched roofing is reminiscent more of a Balinese retreat than of a Turkish hotel. But this is very much Turkey.
The charismatic hotel is set in an orange grove amidst a farming community just 300 meters inland from the mighty Cirali Beach on the famous Turquoise Coast.
The spacious chalets are fully equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
All have a luxurious en-suite shower room, mini bar, coffee machine, air conditioning, porch and hammock. Their wooden construction adds a special ambience to the whole experience, one that is hard to find in concrete block hotel rooms.
There are no TVs or loud music to disturb you. This is place where guests can enjoy the stunning natural setting of Cirali and the glorious mountain views that surround the guesthouse. There are many attractions within walking distance including the ruins of Olympos and eternal flame of Chimaera. Breakfast and evening meals are served on the beach patio, accessed via a 5 minute walk down the village path.
Five bungalows: all air-conditioned with double bed (optional single bed for 3rd person), coffee machine, small fridge, safety deposit box, telephone, wireless internet, en-suite shower room with hairdryer, private porch and hammock. Breakfast included, light lunches & dinner (set menu) available on request. Mountain bikes available free of charge. Local shops, a mini market and other restaurants in Çirali village are all within 15 minutes walk.

how this holiday makes a difference
Cirali beach is a popular nesting site for the endangered loggerhead sea turtle, known locally as Caretta Caretta. Protecting them may also save the area from major development. We donate £10 of your booking fee to the Ulupinar Conservation Coop who protect the turtles and monitor their activities. Thanks to these donations, this year we will present the Coop with infrared cameras and a GPS system to help them better document their work. On the beach patio all lights are covered and dimmed and there are no radios or TVs to disturb the egg-laying turtles. Our cottages are built entirely from recycled timber collected from old village barns and houses due for demolition. Only local craftsman were used in their construction. They are not only designed to blend with the surrounding area, they even serve to enhance it, giving a very natural feel to the hotel. We are very proud of this and hope it may inspire others to stop using concrete and opt for more natural materials that are in keeping with the character of Cirali. The thick thatched roofing provides great insulation against the summer heat and helps reduce energy consumption since you don’t need to use the air conditioning as much. Our food produce is sourced from local farms, many of them certified organic. Your stay here directly benefits the local farming community too! |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
