how this holiday makes a difference
This tour gives you an opportunity to see three beautiful Nordic capitals in just 5 days. We use scheduled cruise ferries in order to avoid unnecessary pollution and to give you a good opportunity to meet the locals. The cruises are especially popular among local Estonians, Finns and Swedes making it a small multicultural community to reflect the behaviours and ways of living of the region. To make sure the money stays within the visited community we’re using local bus companies and advise on most sustainable shopping opportunities.

You'll also receive an information pack containing information on vital data about all three destination countries, Estonia, Sweden and Latvia, including information about the countries' social and political situations, plus the Traveller’s Responsible Code of Conduct. All of this will be sent by e-mail to minimise the use of paper.

We also encourage our guests to read about the country before coming to find out more about their host communities and the environment so that they can connect better with the locals. We provide suggestions on how best to support the local economies and communities, as well as the surrounding environment.

We choose hotels that appreciate sustainable tourism practices and also ask their customers to act in an environmentally responsible way during their stay, but also in their everyday lives. All of our staff, including your tour guide are aware of responsible travel policies and encourage our guests to make as positive an influence on their holiday destination as possible to make the experience even more enjoyable in both directions.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
