the amazing things you'll be doing
A great way to see spectacular Halong Bay is on a slow cruise through the seemingly never-ending bay of islands. Lay in the sun, enjoy a selection of the freshest seafood, and capture photograph after photograph.

Later take a more intense look of one of the islands and "get off the beaten track” at a more leisurely pace. We visit Vung Vieng fishing village and our responsible tourism project “For a Green Halong Bay” and learn more about the tourism activities that the locals are doing as part of our cruise services.
day-by-day itinerary
Day 1:Hanoi to Halong. Depart at 8am from your hotel and head to Halong city. After 3.5 hours driving and viewing simple, country side, rice paddy life, we arrive at the at port. At 12pm the junk crews welcome guests on board at Hon Gai Wharf. Enjoy welcome drinks and check in Deluxe cabin. Lunch with fresh local seafood while cruising into Halong bay. Get to Vong Vieng after 2 hours. Start exploring Vong Vieng fishing village and the hidden lagoons in Bai Tu Long Bay by kayaks or our small rowboats. Back to junk to enjoy relaxing or the sunset. Dinner and overnight on board nearby Vong Vieng village or Trinh Nu cave. (L,D)
Day 2:Bai Tu Long Bay to Hanoi. Early risers can enjoy the sunrise and the quiet breathtaking beauty of Bay’s landscape. From 7.30 to 10.30, serve breakfast A la carte (guests can order any dishes in the menu whenever they want for breakfast and lunch). Around 8am, start discovering Ba Cua beach where the guests enjoy swimming, sunbathing or relaxing. Back to junk, arrange luggage and check out cabin while cruising back. By noon we will be ashore then hit the road back to Hanoi. We arrive and finish our tour at your hotel by 5pm. (B,L)
how this holiday makes a difference
Small group: Our junks are for less than 10 persons and tourists are informed what to do and how to keep the beauty of the Bay from our local guides’ code of conduct.

Local guide: We train the local guides in Halong, they must be from Halong city, they have to go through our course called “For a Green Halong Bay”.

Less fuel usage: We use the sails when possible, and we often turn off the engine while our travelers are swimming or visiting caves. We use rowboats and kayaks to visit the fishing village and lagoons to save energy and this is the best way to get to see Halong Bay and learn more about the fisherman’s lives here.

Halong bay, rice paddiesLocal fishes: As soon as we anchor for lunch or dinner, you will see one of our crew – the cook will row the bamboo boat to buy fishes from the fishing village, this way we could have the freshest seafood and a good support to the fisherman.

Visit our project: For a Green Halong Bay, visitors will see our practical works being done here for the sake of Halong bay. We also support the local business here to be part of our cruise.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
