the amazing things you'll be doing
Photography holiday in Andalucia, SpainEach day is dependent on the weather and also to some extent what the group wants to do as there is so much choice of places to visit but we will definitely visit the following places during the week:

  • El Torcal natural park: A huge limestone plateau that has been carved by the elements over the years to produce bizarre rock formations.
  • Guadalhorce natural park: An area of pine forests and lakes.
  • El Camino del Rey and the El Chorro gorge: A lovely gorge with a concrete walkway perched up to 150 metres above the valley floor.
  • Los Dolmenes (3 ancient burial chambers)
  • Antequera town, castle and churches.
Photography holiday in Andalucia, SpainCasa de Pedro is a lovely old farmhouse nestled in a magical valley in Andalucia. It has been renovated to blend modern comfortable living in keeping with the traditional Andalucian style. Set in its own 4 acres of almond and olive groves it exudes character with thick stone walls, beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Based from here we will gently explore this beautiful area each day.

The photography tuition will be mellow but over the course of the week you will learn how to use all aspects of your camera and return home inspired. Meals will be taken at local restaurants, tapas bars and back at the farmhouse. It’s suitable for anyone that has a digital camera and would like to hang out with a positive group of people in a lovely part of Spain.
day-by-day itinerary
Day 1:Arrival at Farmhouse from 2pm, evening meal and introductory chat.
Day 2-6:A mixture of photography, food and wine! We will visit two nearby natural parks and the Camino del Rey (considered to be one of the wonders of Spain). There are also beautiful lakes, ancient Dolmen caves and Spanish towns and villages to explore.
Day 7:Depart by Midday (airport transfers included if needed)
how this holiday makes a difference
We will eat most meals away from the farmhouse only using locally run tapas bars and restaurants to ensure that the money filters down to the local community. All grey water used at the farmhouse is sent back to help irrigate the land around the house which helps the olive and almond trees. (The harvest from these is given to a neighbouring Spanish farm each year.) All hot water to the house is supplied via a solar heating system. All light bulbs in the house are low energy long lasting ones. Each person’s flight to and from the house is carbon neutralized with Climate Care.

For distribution of tour information and pre and post booking we only use the internet and email. Where ever possible we try and run a paper free office. Our office only uses green electricity and we keep consumption as low as possible. All lights are energy efficient and computers are turned off at night. Everything that can be recycled is recycled and all green waste is composted. The majority of our food consumed at our office is organically grown in our garden. Other produce is fair trade where possible.

A minimum of £150 per person from this holiday is donated to the Orangutan Foundation to help them conserve an important area of rain forest in Borneo.

Each tour group is limited to just 6 people to minimize the impact on the local eco system. Any areas we visit are to be left as we find them. No litter is to be left behind and nothing is to be removed by us or our clients. We will avoid damaging vegetation, flora and fauna. We will only introduce our clients to areas where the community welcomes them and we will provide accurate pre-trip information on the social and political situation in the destination.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
