the amazing things you'll be doing
Coasteering activity holiday in Wales_coasteeringThe best fun you can have with your wetsuit on? We think so!

Whilst we wouldn’t be immodest enough to claim that we ‘invented’ the whole notion of exploring along rocky foreshores – kids have been doing that since seaside holidays first began – we are proud to have taken the whole notion one step further with the development of our flagship adventure activity, coasteering.

The original and the best, so why not squeeze into a wetsuit, buoyancy aid, safety helmet and some old trainers. Get set to scramble, climb, swim and jump around Pembrokeshire’s spectacular coastline. We turn rocks, cliffs, caves and waves into playthings! So do it with the best!

Come and have fun, test you nerve, skill and endurance, and at the same time learn about the coastline, and how to protect your playgrounds. The BBC’s ‘Holidays Out’ programme called it ‘the best liquid refreshment you can get’ and Everest mountaineer Chris Bonnington found it ‘immensely enjoyable’. You don’t have to be a TV presenter or a Himalayan climber to enjoy this fantastic sport.

On a calm day it is possible to explore caves, when it gets rougher hold onto your hats - it can be a rollercoaster ride! Jumping is not compulsory but it’s really great fun!

Courses begin at 9.00 am; 11.00 am or 1:30 pm, usually with a brief introduction and a chance to meet your guide and the other coasteerers in your group. The half days end at 12:30 pm; 2:30 pm or 5.00 pm. There is a good chance that you will be walking to our coasteering locations as we trying to cut our carbon emisions by leaving the mini buses at our hotel. It's a short walk, around 15mins and is a great way to warm up and meet the rest of the group.

You need to bring:
  • Towel
  • Old trainers, that you are happy to get wet
  • Swimming costume
  • Warm clothes to change into after the session
  • Old shorts to wear over your wetsuit for coasteering. Drawstring are best, as they won't fall off when you jump!
  • Sun tan lotion

    We will provide:
  • Wetsuit
  • Helmet
  • Buoyancy Aid
  • Safety Equipment
  • Hot Drinks
  • Any relevant equipment for the session (ie: spraydecks, kayak, surfboard etc.), and a friendly and experienced guide
    best time to go
You can coasteer in any conditions, with our wealth of knowledge and experience we will safely navigate you around the best section of coastline, whatever the weather can throw at us! It is very invigorating!
  • how this holiday makes a difference
As the first carbon neutral activity company, we are serious about looking after our environment. Walking to the coasteer, is not only fun, a good warm up and by leaving the minibuses behind this is one of the means we are using to reduce our carbon footprint. Sourcing equipment from environmentally conscious companies and proactively educating our groups, on session, about minimizing impact on the environment led us to start the outdoor charter group, to set codes of conduct for coastal users in Pembrokeshire to help protect some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in the UK.

Started and run by us and a collection of other outdoor activity businesses, environmental education centres and conservation organisations, this group works to minimise the damaging environmental impacts of outdoor activities within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Members follow a strict code of conduct and encourage the careful selection of outdoor adventure sites. The group also promotes a better understanding of the wildlife and countryside of Pembrokeshire, and works to encourage the sustainable use of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

We are a member of 1% For The Planet, so 1% of turnover is donated to environmental good causes, and we support charities such as WaterAid, Surfers Against Sewage and the RNLI. We aim to source as many goods and services as possible from the local community. For example, the company website has been developed by Globe Orange, a local web design company. We also offer cut-price and free adventure sessions to local schools and young people on a regular basis.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
