Pembrokeshire is a great place to surf. With beaches facing the Atlantic swell on three sides, it’s usually ‘going off’ somewhere close by.
So escape to the experts and feel the exhilaration and satisfaction that comes with improving your surfing technique - whether you’re looking to surf your first wave or further improve your skills. Join our surf crew for some totally unforgettable surfing.
But beware, surfing with us is addictive - once you’ve visited once, you’ll be hooked for life. While you’re here, don’t forget to chillax and enjoy the unbeatable St. David’s après-surf.

All the electricity we use in our booking office is renewable green electricity, sourced from the natural energy of the wind, sun and running water. This means that for every unit of electricity we use, our green electricity supplier (Good Energy) promises to buy an equivalent unit of electricity from a renewable source and supply this to the grid.
An externally audited Green Dragon Level 3 Environmental Management System is run at our company, which ensures that it manages all of its environmental impacts by, for example, constantly measuring and proactively reducing the amount of energy we use. Under Green Dragon, the company is required to improve its environmental performance on a continual basis. This year, we have started walking with our customers to many of our outdoor adventure sessions, instead of driving, to reduce our carbon footprint. We offset all our direct carbon emissions via projects run by the Carbon Neutral Company. We were the first UK travel company to go carbon neutral. Although carbon offsetting is a useful tool, our overwhelming priority is to minimise our GHG emissions prior to offsetting. Pembrokeshire Outdoor Charter Group: Started and run by us and a collection of other outdoor activity businesses, environmental education centres and conservation organisations, this group works to minimise the damaging environmental impacts of outdoor activities within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Members follow a code of conduct and encourage the careful selection of outdoor adventure sites. The group also promotes a better understanding of the wildlife and countryside of Pembrokeshire, and works to encourage the sustainable use of the Pembrokeshire countryside. Act Locally, Think Globally...now that’s an idea that appeals to us here! We address world issues such as climate change and pollution of the seas by taking action locally. We also work to support the local community and economy as much as we can by providing employment, buying local produce, using local services, and protecting the local environment. Our staff regularly spend time on local community projects, either through an individual employee’s choice or as a group intervention. A couple of the activities we have recently supported are: We're based at St. David's in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park - an area rich in wildlife and rare and protected species and habitats. Come out into the sea with us - and enjoy some of the cleanest and warmest coastal waters in Europe - you might well spot a few seals, perhaps a porpoise. Back on land the summer butterflies and wild flowers are truly inspiring. With a rich spiritual, maritime and agricultural heritage, the local communities are diverse and welcoming. Welsh, one of the oldest languages in Europe, is still widely spoken. We aim to contribute positively to the community of St. Davids and the other communities with which we come into contact, and actively encourage our clients, suppliers and customers to do the same. Can we justify buying goods produced by child and slave labour? Are we willing to sit back and watch other companies abusing the environment and their host communities? Absolutely not! We’re been working with the valued support of No Sweat, CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) and ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) to enable us to work to ensure that all of our suppliers respect people, planet and place. We've got a great deal of work ahead of us, but we're already making good progress and have produced our first Ethical Procurement Policy, and we're in the process of auditing the environmental and social performance of all our suppliers. Everything we do carries our personal guarantee of trust, care and quality. We respect our customers and work to ensure that their time spent doing business with us is 100% positive. If a customer is unhappy, we do something about it. Guaranteed. We will not knowingly work with clients who are responsible for human rights abuses or are involved in the fur trade, animal testing for cosmetics, or the sale and promotion of weapons or tobacco. Our staff matter to us and we avoid offering ‘disposable people’ jobs to anyone. We always remain strongly focused on supporting all members of the team. We constantly work to ensure that everyone working for us is having a good time. We are a member of 1% For The Planet, so 1% of turnover is donated to environmental good causes. And we support charities such as Water Aid, Surfers Against Sewage and the RNLI. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
