Day 4:Kas. 09:00am We depart for Butterfly Valley by boat. The Butterfly Valley near Fethiye is a hidden gem of Turkey's Turquoise Coast. Continue to main road then drive to Finike. Overnight in Finike.
Day 7:Olympos. Walk the Lycian Way to Olympos & Chimaera - the unquenchable flame. One of the highlights of a visit is Chimaera, near the ancient city of Olympos. The chimaera, or mythical fire-breathing monster with the head of a lion, the torso of a goat, and the rear of a snake that allegedly roams the hills are actually a series of eternal flames flickering along the rocky slopes above the ancient city of Olympos, which would account for the Lycians worship of the fire god Hephaestos (Vulcan). But never fear: According to legend, the Chimaera was slain by Bellerophon on his winged horse Pegasus. The fires are caused by the combustion of a predominantly methane gas mixture seeping out of the earth. Overnight in Olympos at Tree Houses & Bungalows.
Day 8:Rest day in Olympos. Enjoy the sunshine and take in the views and magnificent natural beach & crystal clear sea. You can also explore the city, shop in the local markets, relax on the beach or enjoy its unspoilt scenery and fascinating Lycian history. This part of Turkey's Mediterranean coast is the perfect place for an unforgettable holiday. Overnight in Olympos at Tree Houses & Bungalows.
Day 9:Termessos and Dunden Waterfall. After breakfast Depart for Termessos. The ruins of the city of Termessos are perched on a 1050 metre high plateau on the west face of the Güllük Mountain (Solymos) found in Mt.Güllük National Park on the northwest of Antalya. A wild and splendid landscape surrounds the monumental traces of this city. Termessians (Pisidian people) lived in their impregnable fortress city and guarded their independence fiercely. Dunden Waterfall is situated in DSI state park. It has been used as a settlement area dating back to 5th century BC. There are ancient graves built near the waterfall, dating back to 3rd century BC. The river is 25 meters deep. Overnight in Antalya.

Day 11:Egridir Free Day. Egridir is beautiful and shows another side of Turkey all together. Swimming, boating and hiking can fill a few days if you want to be active. The fish are extremely delicious, don't miss out on the traditional meal of Balik Fish and the famous Turkish drink Raki.
Day 12:Konya and Cappadocia. This morning we drive to Konya and see the imposing green-tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana & museum, the mystic founder of the Sufi sect (Whirling Dervishes). After Konya Depart for Cappadocia. The strange but beautiful formation of Cappadocia has had this appearance for millions of years. When the volcanoes in the region were active, the lava which poured out covered all previously formed hills and valleys forming a high plateau. Another region worth visiting in the area is the famous Ihlara Valley. Ihlara Valley (Canyon) is a deep, narrow river gorge cut through the tufa by the Melendiz River. It offers one of the most enjoyable trekking routes if you can spare the minimum of half a day. In the canyon there are about 60 churches, monasteries and cells of anchorites. There are also loads of activities available in Cappadicia: hot-air ballooning, horse and camel riding, trekking, the list goes on. Overnight Cappadocia Cave.

The drive will take you through scenery that includes pigeon houses, the grape growing district and the near by wineries of Ortahisar. The jeep tour will then take passengers off the beaten track with a visit to the picturesque caves of the Red Valley . The jeep safari provides the perfect opportunity to take a rest and soak up the natural beauty of the Cappadocian scenery. Overnight in Cappadocia Cave.
Day 14:Cappadocia Tour. We'll pick you up from your hotel and depart at 09:00 to drive to Ihlara Valley. There, we'll walk nearly 4 km and visit the frescoed churches before it gets hot. Lunch is in Ihlara Valley, at the bank of the Melendiz River, which is flowing in the valley. After lunch, we'll visit Selime Cathedral and return back to Derinkuyu Underground City. travelling with a local operator
This holiday is operated by a company based in the holiday destination and they will be able to provide expert local knowledge. They will be able to tailor make your holiday to suit your requirements not only concerning the dates of travel but also typically the standard of accommodation, and thus price. It is rare for local operators to be able to help with the booking of your flights.
how this holiday makes a difference
    Environment:
Before the tour starts, we give lots of information to the clients about the conservation of the flora and fauna and cultural sites. Our groups are a minimum of 4, maximum of 20 people. Guests are informed that refuse should not be thrown into the sea and we encourage them to minimise their use of water and electricity and not to hurt the sea animals.

The accommodations are in local family hotels, tree houses, bungalows and cave houses where you will be relaxed and experience how it feels to be in the nature with local people and live like local people. The reason that we choose tree houses and bungalows is that they are totally natural and none of the trees on the property were cut to build the Bungalows and tree houses. They are made out of local wood.

Famous tree houses in Olympos were generally built with pinetrees. You can have a beautiful and comfortable rest in the middle of orange gardens while breathing the fresh orange smells and clean air of the Mediterranean. These bungalows and tree houses were built with the maximum use of natural products and materials. The first bungalow was built by Osman Karatas and now because of his old age, his son Hamdi Karatas is now handling the bungalows and tree houses as succesfully as his father.

We know that the trees are living, growing things, so the tree houses were built with the idea of causing as little physical damage to the trees as possible. Instead of the planks of wood being nailed into the tree, the houses are built around the actual branches resulting in huge branches which are still growing, passing through the Tree Houses. Pressure treated woods were used to make sure that they are as strong as possible and to add more security to the structure, decking screws were used to fasten the pieces of wood together. For the flooring, also pressure treated plywood was used so it is stable enough to hold the weight of the people staying in it.

At the hotel accommodations, we use the sensitive hotels about saving water and energy. The hotels use compact fluorescent lamps for lighting. Heating in the rooms shouldn't be controlled by automatic air conditioned system, when the rooms aren't in use, the temperature should be controlled automatically and the air conditioners should be shut down. Also we ask the hotels to give the used soaps, hand lotions, shampoos etc. to the schools in the area which really need them.

The transport is mostly local and public, using public transportation such as buses, subways, trains etc. This reduces the impacts on the climate by reducing pollution and carbon emissions. Cycling, horse riding and walking short distances is a climate-friendly way to transport and also good for your health.

What makes this tour special and different is that while the guests are relaxing on the Aegean Coasts, at the same time they are protecting the natural environment with all the information of conservation, the environment, nature and historical places. Also the accommodations makes this tour special. Staying at tree houses, bungalows, cave houses without giving harm to flora and fauna.

    Community:
The most important thing we care about is encouraging our guests to use local and commercial elements to contribute the local economy such as the shops and restaurants that are operated by the local families. By using local transportations and walking, our guests will also be in touch with the local people.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
