introduction to Luxury villa in Bequia, St Vincent and the Grenadines
Stay at our luxury newly built eco-villa on Bequia Island.
Located at Mt Pleasant, named after its soft constant breeze, Letovah Villa, is a beautiful eco friendly contemporary house matching unique features, such as huge corner windows and very high ceilings, to the use of only natural materials. The house has unobstructed views towards both sides of the island (Admiralty Bay & Mustique Island).
The villa has capacity for sleeping 6 persons. For views of Mustique Island, spend some time in the relaxing den, right off the living room, whose walls have been textured with white sand and indigo blue pigment.
The house awaits you with a full staff and a sunset view to die for. Elie will take care of all your daily basic needs such as housekeeping, as well as preparing your first diner and breakfast upon arrival. Feel free to ask her to cook for you on a regular basis if you wish (to be arranged directly with Elie).
If you arrive after 5 PM, Tinny, the villas supervisor, will be your first stop at Sugar Hill restaurant right across from our house. She will hand you the keys and get you acquainted with the house.
Breaksfast by the pool and have your lunch or enjoy a drink at sunset from the main terrace facing Princess Margaret's beach and Admiralty Bay. Hide from the sun at the hot hours of the day and read your book or nap in a hammock in the courtyard under the pergola facing Mustique. Everywhere you will look, the view from Letovah Villa is gorgeous and the breeze will keep you cool, and don't forget you are only 10 minutes away from the beaches.
Make sure you eat at Sugar Hill restaurant famous for its fish cakes and the Crescent Beach Inn for its moonlight lobster barbecues! Book in a hike through forests to take in the best views and wildlife of Bequia.
The Master bedroom suite with its huge panoramic corner window has also its own terrace overlooking the entire Bay, and encompasses a very large bathroom with a stone wall open shower overlooking Mustique as well as a full dressing room with private refrigerator, dresser, and ample closet space.

how this holiday makes a difference
|
Environment
Letovah Villa is an eco friendly house, with natural materials and solar panels. There is no A/C in the house. There are fans in the living room and the bedrooms because as Letovah is sitting on a hill half way between the islands two coasts once usually enjoys usually a permanent breeze flowing through the open corner windows. Tropical wood, stones, pebbles, and pigment, accented by glass tiles and pigmented cement counter tops are some of the elegant elements you will find inside the house. The villa is fully equipped with energy saving bulbs, solar water heating and has no air conditioning units (the villa is cooled by breezes). The showers are low power and toilets are half flush. The owners never use pesticides as we are aware of the effects on the environment. The villa owners strongly encourage conservation of water by asking guests to re use towels. Community The villa owners employ local citizens who also run a local supermarket and restaurant. Guests here then spend time and cash at these other local business places so the dollar is spread further throughout the community. All consumable items are bought from local shops, e.g toilet tissue, cleaning supplies and detergents. 2% of our profit is donated to local charities in the Grenadines. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
