day-by-day itinerary
| Day 1: | Meet your crew at the airport or island jetty. After a comprehensive boat briefing on deck in Admiralty harbour, Bequia, sail for chic Mustique, and moor in Britannia bay. A short distance from Bequia, Mustique only 3 miles long by 1 1/2 miles wide and about a 1 1/2 to 2-hour sail from St. Vincent (12 miles). Some of the world's most sophisticated beachcombers of society and fame, were lured to this island gem by safe, warm waters, varied terrain and astonishing views. Tour by foot, taxi, or horseback past the homes of the rich and famous. Take a swim off the secluded beaches of Macaroni or Sandy Bay. Step back a century when taking afternoon tea at the Cotton House Hotel. Keep an eye out for celebrity residents – Mick Jagger, David Bowie and Tommy Hilfiger all have homes here. |
| Day 2: | After breakfast and an optional swim or snorkel sail to Canouan (can-ou-on) a crescent-shaped island surrounded by wide shallows and coral - a scuba diver's dream. The islanders are mainly fisherman and small farmers. However, with a wealth of excellent beaches and unspoiled scenery, Canouan Island has attracted significant hotel development. Enter the main harbor and enjoy the Tamarind Beach Hotel and then check-out the swimming pool located at Raffles Beach Resort & Golf Club. Yes…a par-72 golf course. |
| Day 3: | The dramatic peaks of Union Island, the Caribbean equivalent of Chamonix, are a short down-wind sail away. Enter Clifton Harbour, protected by the extensive Thompson reef and enjoy shops and restaurants on offer. Alternatively, if you seek peace and tranquility, Chatham Bay on the West coast is THE place to hide! |
| Day 4: | A stones throw away lies Palm Island where the golden sands of Casuarinas beach will lure you into the turquoise waters once more. Set sail for palm-lined Salt Whistle Bay on the north west shore of Mayreau . Hidden behind the pristine beach and palms of Salt Whistle, nestles a fine beach resort where you can enjoy dinner Flintstone-style on rock tables. |
| Day 5: | Take an early morning stroll to the top of Mayreau and enjoy the magnificent views of the Tobago cays and surrounding islands. Then navigate the channel to the world famous Tobago Cays under the midday sunlight. Horseshoe reef offers limitless snorkelling and some fine drift dives. If you are adventurous you can explore underwater caves. Under the stars here you can be safe in the knowledge that you are in one of the most spectacular anchorages on earth. |
| Day 6: | A short sail across to the Tobago Cays will probably be the highlight of your trip. One of the worlds most spectacular sights to behold is a place you will find hard to leave. The second largest horse-shoe shaped reef in the world surrounds crystal clear waters, teaming with tropical fish, and ubiquitous coconut swept beaches in every line of sight. |
| Day 7: | Start you way back up north to Port Elizabeth early in the morning and arrive to meet your villa staff on the jetty at the Gingerbread Hotel by tea time. Settle in to the villa with a nice refreshing swim. |
| Day 8-14: | Wake up at Tranquility Villa and spend seven days relaxing at the poolside, on the beach or exploring Bequia. |

Environment
In visiting the Tobago Cays by yacht guests will pay fees towards the sustainability project protecting the area. Tobago Cays are an archipelago comprised of five small uninhabited islands - Petit Rameau, Petit Bateau, Baradol, Petit Tobac and Jamesby - located in the Southern Grenadines. The Tobago Cays are now the key element of the Tobago Cays Marine Park, a national park and wildlife preserve run by the St.Vincent and the Grenadines government. The yacht and villa owners both provide information relative to, conservation of energy and the villas composting program. Tranquility Villa is an ECO villa whose owners encourage composting, by asking the guests to separate garbage by providing green bins in the kitchen and a composting bins on the property. The villa is fully equipped with energy saving bulbs, solar water heating and has no air conditioning units (the villa is cooled by breezes.) The showers are low power and toilets are half flush. The owners never use pesticides as we are aware of the effects on the environment. Moonhole pennisular is maintained as a nature reserve. Tranquility Villa is part of this reserve and provides a low impact, eco friendly vacation experience. Electricity is from solar panels. Water is solar heated. The house was built from natural local materials in harmony with the environment. Both yacht and villa owners strongly encourage conservation of water by asking guests to re use towels. All consumable items are bought from local shops, e.g toilet tissue, cleaning supplies and detergents. The yacht owners are strongly involved with the green development of the island of Bequia. As such the are educating by way of example against the unnecessarily demolishing of forest and damage to wildlife while people build new homes on the island. Community Both the yacht and villa owners are local residents and employ local citizens. The villa owners give their our staff on the job training and seminars by SVGHT association and assist with sponsorship for community clean up regularly by providing bins painted by the Handicap children (Sunshine School) garbage bags and gloves. They provide garbage receptacles for public use and aim at keeping our beaches pristine, therefore we encourage guests and locals to utilize the bins particularly on public holidays when the beaches are frequented by locals. Our yacht brokerage is a member of the Charter Yacht Brokers Association. 2% of our profit is donated to local charities in the Grenadines. |
Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people. We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel. 'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left). We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays. We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism. This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards. |
