introduction to Koh Chang National Marine Park cruise and tour in Thailand

This tour takes you to Koh Chang National Marine Park, which is situated 325 km southeast of Bangkok. This area houses 47 beautiful islands, which together form an unspoiled, picturesque archipelago – a place which you will experience up close and personal on our own boat. The interior is simple but the experience will be unforgettable.

The scenery in the National Park is quintessentially a tropical island paradise with chalk-white beaches, untouched rain forest and azure-blue seas with colourful fish and corals in a wealth of formations. Experience the serenity of sailing between the small, palm-fringed islands and let the beauty of the scenery and the silence make you relax like never before. After 3 days the trip ends at Koh Kood, Koh Chang and Koh Mak or in Trat. We recommend the small unspoiled island of Koh Kood, where we offer discount on accommodation at our beach resort.
day-by-day itinerary
Day 1:Transfer Bangkok – Koh Chang National Marine Park. Relax on the boat, go swimming or snorkeling.
Day 2:Enjoy the beautiful scenery, relax on the boat, go swimming or snorkeling.
Day 3:Enjoy the morning on the boat and in the afternoon transfer to your requested destination: Koh Kood, Koh Chang, Koh Mak or Trat.
small group adventure holiday
Typically you will be sharing your experiences with between 4-20 like minded travellers (depending on the trip, operator and how many others are booked on the trip) and you'll have a group leader with you. Whether you are travelling alone or with friends its good value, and a great way to meet new people! While itineraries are pre-planned there is some flexibility and you'll have plenty of privacy. This trip will appeal to travellers of all ages who enjoy meeting new people as well as seeing new places.
how this holiday makes a difference
The boat is run by local staff and the tour guide is also local.

On the trip we collect all waste and take care of the environment. Bottles for recycle will be recycled. We will not throw our waste in the sea, it will be stored in black plastic bags during the trip and the waste will be disposed when we get back to the mainland.

At Koh Kood we support conservation programs. This is not littering on the island to prevent pollution, safe water and electricity. Our staff is aware of this and instruct our customers when they check in. We have a big water tank collecting rainwater, this water will be used for showers at the pool and in the rooms. If there is no rain for a long period we will use underground water, but it will be filtered and reused for our pond on the resort.

In connection with the seasafari we have a local house in Trat for staff to stay when there is no trip. This house is locally owned.

The food during the trip will be bought in Trat town, some from the market, some from the grocery store. We have one person employed in Trat to do all the shopping and planning for us. The salary will support her and her family.

We have a generator to produce our own electricity as the electricity on Koh Kood is very unstable. That means that there will be no electricity from 11.00 until 16.00 everyday.

Tourism can be good and bad for destinations & local people.

We carefully screen every holiday against our criteria for responsible travel.

'Look behind the brochure' to find how each holiday makes a difference (see left).

We don't claim to be perfect - there is no global accreditation - but we've led the way since 2001 and screened 1000's of holidays.

We invite every traveller to write a review about their experiences and responsible tourism.

This valuable feedback is sent to the people who run the holidays. We keep a very close eye on it and take off holidays that don't live up to our standards.
