The house was built around the 1860’s as part of the estate of Middleton Hall and was said to have been used as a hunting lodge.
It was lived in for over 90 years by Captain Humphrey Simpson and retains many of its original features. Porticoed entrance with tiled hallway, wide Georgian style doors leading to spacious lounge and dining rooms, both with open fires and bay windows in which to sit and contemplate the views
