Obvioulsy one has to be careful in finding the right balance between providing an even higher level of comfort than expected from our guests and our responsibilty towards the environment.
We ensured that our property be designed in a way to have as much natural light as possible even if this meant loosing out on valuable space.
We implemented the following measures to minimise the use of energy.
a. We tried using energy saving lamps as much as possible.
b. We installed a solar heating unit even if this neeeded to be backed up by electrical power.
We were very careful about our choice of insulating materials to ensure that our property is warm enough during the winter months and comfortably cool enough in summer to minimise use of air conditioning.
We implemented a pay per use system for our airconditioners to discourage unnessary waste.
Even if a/c use is paid by the clients, we installed timers on our airconditioners to ensure that these switch off automatically when nobody is inside the property.
All our appliances utilise triple A technology which means they are super efficient as regards the use of electrical power.
We are also very careful on the choice of tours and excurions we offer our clients. We encorage and fully support the ones that are educational, enjoyable and eco-friendly, and also interact with and give something back to the local community.
We including a Responsible Tourism Section in our literature to make our esteemed guests more aware of their responsibilities.

Being responsible in Gozo
Gozo is the second largest island in the Maltese islands, which themselves are the smallest islands in the Mediterranean with a population of just under 400,000. Blessed with sunshine in over 300 days per year, our country is great as a summer or winter getaway. With only 30,000 people, Gozo may only be 9 miles long by 4 miles wide (14.5 x 6.4 km), but it offers a rugged landscape and spectacular coastline which await exploration together with some of the Mediterranean’s best dive sites.
We urge our clients to:

b. Learn some local words
c. Enjoy the local food
d. To be careful not to cause fire hazards
e. To dress respectfully when visiting local churches
f. To practice recycling and to prefer products that come in glass bottles over plastic ones.
g. To use water sparingly
h. To be sparing with electricity
i. To try and reuse towels which are not dirty
j. To enjoy diving responsibly
