Construction: There is great care taken by the architect from the planning stage to retain the character of the site where the hotel exists … or will exist. The hotel occupies about 44 acres of the 220 acre island leaving the rest in its natural state. There is also a policy not to build higher than the existing tallest palm tree on the property. Where possible the building materials – wood, etc is sourced locally.
Plastic and glass from the hotel is re-cycled. Energy saving bulbs are used The hotel also has a de-salination plant that reduces the draw on fresh water and water is re-cycled for irrigation purposes.
The hotel keeps a regular check on the islands beaches where turtles are known to lay their eggs. The site is kept free of debris, especially plastic, washed up on these sites. The frequency of checks is in line with breeding season.
The Sports Centre organises hikes on the island which gives the guests a different perspective and allows the guides to highlight the natural flora and fauna.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
