Community
Our apartment is decorated in authentic Vincentian style. Our service partners are carefully selected from the local community. In addition to regularly employed staff, local craftsmen and electricians are used for incidental repairs and wherever possible, supplies are sourced locally as well. Good and responsible work is paid adequately. We provide a folder containing all necessary information and addresses (local restaurants, shopping facilities, market, tour operators, taxi drivers, etc.)
Guests are provided with local tourism magazines such as “Ins and Outs” and we promote nearby restaurants located where guest can purchase meals and sample Vincentian cuisine. As we are one of only a few European owner of a holiday apartment, we are advertizing in the whole German speaking market, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands as well. So, St. Vincent & The Grenadines will be put on the map even in Germany.
We support the local staff purchasing and using fair trade products, organic cleaning products and protect the environment. We offer untreated fruits from our garden and ask the people to support the local market buying their food.
Environment
We have always prided ourselves on our commitment to conservation in an island environment where resources are limited. We conserve electricity by using power saving light bulbs in our rooms and strongly encourage our guests to visit local cultural sites and use public transportation, which is available throughout the island. The next bus stop to the capital and the beaches is just a short walk away at Sion Hill. Guests are also educated about conservation and encouraged to use positive environmental practices.
As most of our guests are used to save energy, water and take care of the nature at home, we could easily encourage them to do so in St Vincent as well.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
