Responsible tourism: Cooking holidays in Provence, boutique accommodation

We are happy to welcome you in this house where your well-being and respect for the environment are at the centre of our concerns.

For you, for us and for future generations, we have organised the house in such a way as to minimise as far as possible the environmental impact while ensuring you have the greatest comfort. Thus:

- our water installation is equipped with a Wasser Kat Plocher catalytic vitalisation system;
- the taps are fitted with water economisers;
- we have chosen the EDF's range of "Equilibre +" offers to supply electricity obtained from renewable sources;
- all our lighting comes from low-consumption bulbs. Nevertheless, we would be grateful if you would remember to switch off the lights when you leave your room;
- the windows are fitted with double glazing and plain shutters or louvered shutters and internal shutters;
- in summer, during the day, the shutters should be left ajar and the windows closed in order to avoid heat in the bedrooms;
- in winter, room temperatures are automatically kept at 19°C;
- we only change the towels each three days
- we have chosen not to have television in the house. A large library is at your disposal;
- our garden and the kitchen garden are kept without pesticides or chemical fertilisers and are watered at night with water from our well;
- produce served in our dining room is seasonal, fresh, local, preferably organic and not individually wrapped;
- we sort our rubbish which is why we request you to put paper, cardboard, glass and metal in the waste basket under the desk and other non-recyclable rubbish in the bathroom trash can;
- we are at your disposal for any suggestions and we thank you for joining with us in the preservation of our planet's resources. Nature will reward you.

We are Michelin rated for our Bed & Breakfast and provide the finest facility for our guests to enjoy staying in our village and learn about natural foods and wine.

We source all our natural food from local producers in the markets of Carpentras. We encourage all of our guests to also visit the markets to support the local producers. We provide tours of wineries to support our local AOC Ventoux.

We are active in assisting with the Office de Toursime of Carpentras and recommending local restaurants and shops.

Fair Deal: We also employ people locally to provide income for them to live in our community. We offer people good working conditions, a fair wage.

We recommend our guests to enjoy cycling around our community to reduce the carbon in our environment.

We recommend local historical sites and attractions to support our community.

We do not use any pesticides in our garden for growing of natural herbs and vegetables.

We actively support our community during Fete's and other events that promote our provençal way of life.
